I saw the preview's on tv and it L@@Ks like it would be good... I'm trying to get all my dk parents/kids all together some Sunday afternoon to go to a movie and maybe pizza so... I'm anxious to hear what everybody thinks of this movie too. It's always so hard to find something that everybody likes and will agree on. :)

I have heard great t hings about it! Might be a little scary for kids under 6, but they shouldn't be at a PG movie anyway! LOL
We are all excited about seeing it too. It's nice to have a movie out that all of us want to see.

There have been a couple of PG movies that I felt okay bringing Tristan to, whereas there have been a couple of G movies that I wouldn't dare! (That playground movie for one) It depends on the thing that makes it a PG rather than G. We don't do violence, but my kid is pretty emotionally mature and can deal with what might be thought of as scary or what would be hard for some kids to understand. Spy kids looks like it would be fun and cool, but I was hoping someone could post what it is about it that makes it PG rather than G. Is it language? Violence? What? One thing that is a biggy for me is when the kids are snotty and rude. I was so bummed when Babe called that dog a big butthead. Great, so now all the kids are going to be calling each other buttheads! Anyway, Spy Kids is playing right by our house, so it it's great, I'd love to know about it! Amy

I have heard it's because of some of the intensity of some of the scenes. There is evidentally some "attitude" from the kids, but also a good message about families.
www.screenit.com is a site I use.

My kids want to see it...but I also don't do PG movies until I know why the movie is PG. I'm figuring it might be language. What a shame. It's like you can't even watch primetime television this day without hearing words that our mothers would never allow us to use!!! LOL. I know that my kids will hear "swears" and all at school, but I figure that I don't have to expose them to it also. I'll be interested to hear from someone after they see the movie!

I am with you on the language. It's almost like they put them in on purpose to get the PG rating so the "older" will go too. Arg!

I took my kindergartner (6 years old) to see it last Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed watching the movie with him -- it was entertaining enough. I cannot recall any bad language in it. There was a lot of laughter at the word "poop," of course! I cannot think of any scene in the movie that is overly scary to where it might give a child nightmares. I would much rather take him to a movie like this than one of those Pokemon ones!
