What's up with ya'll? Got laundry to do, putting my patio back together..the painters are finally done! DD has dance and DS has golf this afternoon. Watching the weather to see if Lily makes her turn north..if not, we are going to have a hurricane! You can tell that something is out in the gulf..it's humid and dark today!

Cloudy, rainy, and humid/muggy here today. We had record highs yesterday and ds actually went swimming at a friend's after school...you never see that on October 1st! Work today, then to my Dad's for pizza and then off to my aerobics class tonight.

Late night last night at my sisters, but it was fun. Same friend and I are heading back over there tonight to go to a Taste of Home thing with my mom and sister. They have booths set up and then do cooking demos. I guess at the end they give away all of the pans they cooked with, etc. I am looking forward to it. :)

It's a cool and cloudy day here today, almost looks like it could rain. 8o

Picking my mom up after work tonight and going out to do some more shopping. She's having her family room finished off and is looking at gas fireplaces. I'd LOVE to convert our woodburning into a gas also... so dh and I might be looking a little too.


I've got a Speech and Language Therapist coming over in a little while to work with one of my dck's... She was here a couple of weeks ago, and I'm in such awe as to how well she works with this little girl. I'm so totally impressed. LOL Today she also wants to observe how she interacts with the other children. It will be pretty interesting.

Nothing much to do... although I do have all of my kids back today. I'd like to get them outside... but I didn't get around to cleaning up any doggie donuts the dog made for us out in the front yard yet, so we'll see. It might even be too cold, and seeing some of the kids didn't wear jackets... we just may end up finding something fun to do in the house. I got a few new puzzles and am hoping that I can get them interested in something fun AND quiet. LOL

Anyway, I hope you all have a good day today, doing whatever you're doing...

NOt much going on....went to class ...then to the doctors where I waited for an hour for him to show up...now I'm relaxing ...then back to class...Fun filled day...

Hello all,
Well it is a very cold wet day here. I have 3 dck's today,have to take one to school soon. Not to much planned, DH has the week off so he is helping out. We bought a new dresser for the ds's yesterday so we are putting it together today. This afternoon I have an ultra sound appointment, to check on the amio fluid.

Other than that not much else..Just nervous about the ultra sound... 1 month left to go.....

It was quite a bit colder today. It rained most of the day which made it worse. I SOOO hate this cold weather!!!

Worked full day today. The change in weather must really be affecting the kids because they just constantly fight. One would just pinch or push another just because. They all wanted the same toy at the same time! :tearhair:

I'm off tomorrow and Friday for my sister's wedding and the first 3 days of next week to sub for her so I actually have a whole week off from there.

I'm trying to help ds with homework and he's getting frustrated. UGH!!

Ann, hope you don't get much of the storm. I heard it was a 4 already. I'm really hoping we get some rain out of it though. Really dry around here. I'm so lazy about outdoor watering and I've lost 2 shrubs.

The young man from church who broke his leg during a football game had surgery today at Children's hospital to put in rods and pins, also removed a tumor which showed up in x-rays. His mom had told me Saturday they were 90% sure it would be benign but she was really worried because they wanted him to go to Children's Hospital. I've never seen this woman down about anything, but this, understandably, has thrown her a curve. Haven't heard any more about the results of that.

I read Green Eggs and Ham in class today and of course we had to make green eggs to try. It was so funny. I read the book. We did a prediction graph about whether or not yellow and green eggs would taste the same, then I told the kids we'd find out after recess. You should have seen the looks on their faces. We got so caught up in cooking the eggs I forgot it was our Gifted & Talented day till the teacher came to collect my class. I just said what the heck join us - this isn't really a lesson we can walk away from. The kids talked about the green eggs the rest of the day. They had to tell the principal all about it at lunch and even tattled on me that I forgot to send them to GT. Cooking lessons are a lot of fun, but with 20 kids it's hard. The year I had 12 I did a cooking activity every week. I've only done 2 so far this year.

I guess I'll catch the weather then try to get to bed a little early cause right now it's really feeling like a hump day.

Kat, thankfully (for us) it is landing in LA right now and it dropped to a category 2..still bad, but 4 would have been terrible! The winds are now at 100 mph. LA is getting it pretty badly since they just had Isadore last week, but we are dry.

Yes, my whole class is GT. Actually in grades K-2 it's an enrichment class for everyone. Starting in 3rd it's a pull out for the G & T.
