Now that ds#1 is in first grade and dd is in preschool 3 times a week I feel like I live in the car. It feels like I'm dropping off or picking somebody up all day long. I thought when the kids got older there would be more time for me, but it seems like there is less time. I'm hoping once all 3 kids are finally in school the schedule will get better but by then all 3 will probably have at least one activity a piece and that will be even more driving. Does anybody else feel like they live in their car?
Sheryl:)

I think I could have written this post! I looked forward to "my" time 2 days a week when dks were both at school, but by the time I get back home it ends up only being an hour before I am back in the car. Plus, our mornings seem to fly by, so when I do come home I do laundry, pick up, etc. I just can't seem to keep up lately, can't really figure out why...and I hate it. :\

I'm feeling it too!! Both my kids go to different schools on the South side of the city (we live in the north side). I have to drive 10 miles one way-3 times a day!

It depends on lights. Approximately 15 minutes each way. It doesn't seem that long on the computer, but its 1 1/2 hours in my car speicifically for school every day.8o

That's what it is for me 2 days a week. Next year it will be three days a week and then when youngest ds is in Kindergarten it will be every day. :tearhair: Since we open enroll buses aren't an option for us. Can't believe the miles I have putting on in a week. :\

O.K. Ann - now we all know you are a speed demon! 10 miles in 10 minutes would be 60 miles an hour. Even I don't do that in the city!

Then you have to add on a little extra time for each pick up. At least I would add in some time just in case to ensure I wasn't late.
