View Full Version : Ok, be honest, who else is NOT a size 4
I am surrounded by skinny minis....and then there is me....I am working my way back to a 8-10...where I feel great and look fabulous....I am now in 12-14's and I don't feel comfortable there....but a 4 YIKES...my two step sisters look like bean poles...the one looks naturally skinny, but the other one looks like she needs to eat something.....so am I the only 12-14 here too? LOL
I understand if you don't want to post...just thought it was strange to feel funny about being a 12-14 or 8-10....the norm now is 4-6 YIKES let me be abnormal....
ROFL! It really depends on your height. I want to be back at a 2..now an 8 or 10..hate that!
FOUR!!! Sorry.... not intending to shout. I've left four so far behind it's but a memory. :( A pleasant one, but a memory nonetheless. I agree it depends on your height, but other stuff factors in too, I think, like heredity! (gotta blame it on something, LOL!) Shoot. At this point I'd love to see 12 - 14 again!!! 8o
One thing I do have to look forward to is losing weight after this little guy is born! I've only gained 20lbs so far with this pregnancy, vs 36 with the other three!!! 8o The longest it's taken me to get back to pre-pregnancy weight was a month, so who knows, maybe I'll lose more than the pregnancy weight this time.
One can dream, right? :D
O.k. I'm not exactly sure if a 4 in the U.S. is the same as a 4 in Canada, but I'm definitely not one of them. I'm a 9 but want to be an 8 again. I'm starting to feel pudgy around my middle, even though I've lost 4 pounds from my colonoscopy in July. I don't think it helps either that I'm in my late 30's and still eating like a teenager...my diet is SEE food and ya'll would likely cringe if you knew what all I can eat in a day, LOL.

I fluctuate btwn an 8-10. Wish I could just stay in the 8, but I have been slacking lately and seem to be eating non-stop. :\ If I actually stop to look around I think most people around me (other than teens) are my size or bigger....except my sister who is teeny.

I'm not sure I've ever been a size 4!?! I think I was a 10 all through high school/college/early marriage/etc! Grew a couple of sizes since then....ugh!:( I try not to let "size" bother me...one of my dearest friends has been anorexic/bulemic for MANY years, and watching her struggle with that has totally made me appreciate my healthy body image. I am who I am!

LOL...ok you may think I'm nuts but I am close to a size four (but vary depending on cuts)....but I am not happy there.
Remember....I'm only 4'9" so I am not a skinny minnie...LOL. I'm actually trying to get back down some...
The funny thing is It's weird but I I think the girls sizes run bigger because I've been buying those because of the length....That is untill they started with all this flare stuff...which I hate.
So it really does depend on hieght!

Don't think I've ever worn a 4 either! At 5'8" I've always been a 9/10 or better (WAY better for a while there! ;)). I remember when we were down in L.A. quite a bit, Renee--we were near Studio City, where everyone is either "in the business" or trying to be and it seemed like everyone was a size 4...with a double-D cup size! Amazing how they stayed upright! ;) LOL!

No a 4 here - never was, never will be. :) There are no skinny mini's in my family; we're all average sized girls.
I'm in some 14's now and when I can buy 12's (like I wore in high school) I'll be extatic!! So will dh!! :brow:
well, it's great to know I am not alone....I too am sure it depends on hieght ;){ Ann} but being 5 '6 a size four would make my head look really huge....LOL...my step sisters are tall too over 5'11 so it looks strange that they are so thin and non curvy....nothing...
anyway thanks for letting me vent, and ask personnal questions :)
I was a 4 when I was 20. Boy those days are long gone. I'm a 12/14. Would like to be a 10, but I realistically don't see that happening. Most of the time I'm pretty happy with my looks. I'm healthy and that's what counts.

I was a size 4 on top once but still wore a size 10 pants. Right now I wear 6-12 depending on what is. ?(

Depending upon the name/make of the pants... I fluctuate between a 9/10 and a 11/12. When it comes to shirts... again depending upon the name/make, I'm anywhere between an 11/12 or a 13/l4... 8o 8o :)

MM! I'm a 9 in juniors. I've been in this gym for a year and finally in the past few months have been able to loose some weight. 8 pounds to be exact. I 'd like to loose 4 more, we'll see. At 5'8" I'm a firm 152lbs , I'm happy. Aside from that , I feel great! We went hiking through the rainforest last Saturday , and I was the only one keeping pace with the guide. Scary thought! I love the cross trainer at the gym. It's easy to stick to the gym now. I miss it when I skip a day. ßß!
PS I've melted 4" off my hips! Standing legs lifts throughout the day. :-)!

I wear what my sister and I call a "nice round number" -- I should be ashamed to say -- an 18/20. I am generally happy with my size -- just wish I had the willpower to exercise more -- mainly for the breathing. On a side note, I have just been for some blood work and thyroid ultrasound -- have to go see an ENT next week.
I would love to have the feeling like Arianna did on her hike!
