View Full Version : Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!
Morning! Getting ready to get the kids up to go to church. DH is going to stay home and work on our taxes, and then when we get home we are going to clean out the garage..wow, I live such an exciting life!!! LOL
DS's dance club is a 50's party, so he will go in costume and learn the swing, jitterbug and all the rest of those dances.

Good morning everyone. It's beautiful, but cold here this morning ...real fall weather. We don't have much planned, just the regular Sunday routine of Mass, errands, cleaning, and last minute homework (just ask dds, there is no other kind! LOL).
I can't believe it's already October. I feel like the past 2 months have gone by in a big blur. Things are settling down a little at work. We finally filled most of the positions that were open. I still have 5 staff members out on disability (2 maternity, 3 from a car accident at the end of August). Definitely makes things interesting.
Dds are busy and making me a little crazy, but that's not news. We're reviewing (AGAIN) how to set priorities.....tv does not come before chores, phone does not come before homework, social plans never come before permission, disrespect doesn't make the list at all. You know, all the usual.
Hope you all have a great day.
Ann, I wish I'd learned all those dances. They look like fun.
I need to learn those dances before Saturday. Fall Carnival time and Kdg is sponsoring a cake walk at the "Fifties Throwbacks Diner" We'll also be serving a menu of You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dogs, Bebop Baked Beans, Nat King Cole Slaw and Cherry Coke Salad. We'll be dressed in Poodle skirts and one teacher will be in an old carhop uniform and her skates. Should be fun.
I'm working up starter this week so I can make several loaves of Amish Friendship Bread for the cake walk.
Picked up some kind of bug so I decided it might be best to stay home this morning. Dh & ds have gone to church. It's a shame to get sidelined when I was going full steam ahead yesterday.

:)
It's raining again and it's chilly too. In the 30's. Only a few more degrees lower and we'd have snow.
I got a lot cleaned yesterday! :yippee: My downstairs looks great and today I'm tackling the upstairs and doing laundry. Just thought I'd check in before I got too busy!
Hope you all have a great day.
Hope you feel better Kat.

Afternoon all! Trying to get the house cleaned. I have made a big dent in the laundry. As soon as the house is clean, I am going to put up halloween decorations. My friend said she will come over to help, but we'll see. Minnie is going to a new vet tomorrow. I hope this one turns out okay. Hope everyone has a great day! :)

We stopped at my mom's before heading home today. Then, we went to the fire station open house - lots of neat things there! Dh is at a fb mtg, dks are watching Toy Story 2 on tv and I should be doing laundry, but I thought I'd check in here first. (I'm thinking I need to get my priorities in order, too - Cathy, I think I need a little review, too. :\ )

We were out of town for a wedding over the weekend... didn't get too much sleep last night because of all the noisy people in the hotel. I can't believe how stupid/rude they can be slamming doors and/or yelling down the hall to each other at 3:30/4:00 iin the morning 8o oblivious to the fact that their are probably a lot of people "trying" to sleep. 8o We woke up to rain and temperatures in the low 30's. Burrrrrrrr... We all met at a restaurant called the Frying Pan for breakfast where my dh's uncle picked up the tab for all 22 of us... what a nice guy!!! 8o 8o We made it home in 4 hours... just in time to sit down and watch the Twins win against Oakland... :yippee: It was a pretty nice day/weekend... except that it came/went way too fast. I wish I had another two or three day's off... LOL I hope you all had a nice day too!!!

Hi all! Just got home from our weekend away. Dd did great at her dance competition...3-3rd placing a 1-1st placing...she just missed the trophy by a hair! The other two dancers from our group that were at the competition both won the trophies in their class! :yippee:
Dh and I had a great time at the GBS concert Friday night. A little loud, but fun!
Mil came along and stayed with the kids at the hotel while we went to the concert. She insisted that dh and I get out Saturday afternoon by ourselves too, so we did a bit of shopping. I just wish it wasn't such a long drive to the city.
Trying to catch up here and then off to bed.

I always leave the fan running in the room to block out the hallways noises. :)

Ugh!! That's the worst!! I tend to just never sleep well at hotels though even with my fan trick. :\
