Hello everyone. I am wanting to wallpaper my bathroom half down, border in the middle and spongepaint on top.My husband says No wallpaper. He hates it. Ok, Now my question is, What can I do to my bathroom to the walls to make the bathroom appear larger?I can use border, just no wallpaper.Has anyone ever tried to rag paint?Would that be to much for the whole bathroom?I really want a change for this.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.

Our bathroom is faux painted and I think it looks great! LOL I used a feather duster for the effect. My ds even helped (and he was about 9 at the time). Brighter colors will open up the room.

What colors did you use? I have a friend who just did her bedroom like this and it turned out absolutely beautiful. She used a green color and then brushed a slightly lighter green color every now and again over that. Unless she had told me, I never would have guess that it wasn't wall paper. I'm hoping to redo our bedroom this next winter and am thinking about doing something like this... not too sure about it yet though. Maybe if I can find the right colors... :)

I did everything that wasn't tile! :) We had wallpaper and I just primed over it. I used two shades of goldish yellow that blended with the shower curtain I picked out. After I primed the walls, I painted the lighter yellow color on, after that dried, I went back with the feather duster (that I had cut short, but you can use it long) and just sort of fluffed it on. I recommend that you get a couple of pieces of white poster board and practice first and figure out the look you want. The long leafy look is really attractive, it just wasn't the look I was going for. If it doesn't look good you can always paint over it!!!!
