I am presently preparing to take the Mass. State Teacher's Exam. I have already passed the Literacy and Communication part and am about to take the Early Childhood sub test.
Has anyone taken it?
How is it?
Should I be worried? I work with toddlers everyday, is there something else besides Developmentally Appropriate Practice that I should be studing.
I can't afford ($ wise) to retake this test.
Any suggestions?:\

Good luck. Wish I could help you. It's been years (19) since I took my tests. You were wise to break up testing in more than one testing day. I took all parts in one day and was cross-eyed for a week afterward from filling in little bubbles.

The professional knowledge part is the most difficult. You save the best for last. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Good Luck. I have only taken the Florida Teacher Certification Exam. I too took it all in one day. All I can say is think about a perfect world, and what you would do in it. Also when they give you situations, make sure that you have the teacher in the situation take the blame for everything. Don't ever make it the parent, administrator, or child's fault. If a question asks how you would teach something, stay away from any answer that has worksheet in it. Like I said, this is only advice I give you from the FL exam. Mass. maybe totally different. GOOD LUCK!!! :D
