Hello, I am just so upset right now. My ds is 9. He used to be so good. He would never back talk or anything. Now he is getting in trouble at school,not wanting to do his homework,lying to me, oh yeah, and an attitude of a 16 year old. I don't know what has happened to him.It just breaks my heart. We used to be so close and now if I ask a simple question, he says "do you have to know everything in my life?" I'm not sure if this is a phase or what. I hope so.I just needed to blow off some steam.Anyone else have a 9 year old with an attitude? LOL Sometimes I just feel like :banghead: Talk to you later! Have a GREAT night! :wave:

My 8.5 year old dd thinks she's 16! LOL Has anything changed at home or school? He sounds angry about something.

Nothing has changed. My dd was ill and in the hospital. Thats all. He started this before she went in though but it has gotten worse.I ask him if he is upset about anything and he says no.Maybe it's just a phase. I hope.:\

What about school? Does he like his teacher? Is he keeping up? Any problems with friends?

It may be a phase....my nephew was like that around that age...He was really mouthy to my sister...he's gotten better lately now. Alot of it was in the summer when he was not so busy! Now that he's back in school it's gotten better! Good luck!
