Good Morning!
I have been up for hours and hours, dd slept well til 2:30 am and that was about it, then dh left at 4:30 for a business trip, so it's gonna be a looooooooong day!
Still no word on our friend, she made it through another day.
Nothing much on, home from work (again) with dd, she is feeling a bit better though, pricing out new saddles for our latest beast, having our siding high pressure cleaned today, woohoo, pretty exciting stuff :newwink: Hopefully I can get through a bit of my book club book too.
Enjoy your day!

Good morning!!
I have jury duty today....so much for my plan of a pajama day ~ I must have jinxed myself LOL! I am actually looking forward to jury duty and seeing what it's all about. With my degree in corrections, all of the crime books I read and shows I watch this is right up my alley. ;) With my luck I'll be dismissed first. We took dks to my mom's last night since they don't have school today. Perfect opportunity for some Gramma time. :)
Kathy - You're an early bird this morning. :) Keeping you and your friend in my thoughts today. Hoping the family finds the strength they need to get thru this. :(
Kathy...hope your dd feels better soon
Karla...I didn't know you had a degree in corrections! Ya'll don't get exempt if you have young children? We do.
Sort of a busy day here. Jazzercise, then I have a Women's Club board meeting at 12:30, then home to laundry. DD is playing over at a friends so I have the house to myself till 4 when DS gets home. Need to go to the grocery store too, but the monsoons are coming.
Good morning! I have taken the afternoon off, so I'm going to go home and have a ME afternoon. I'm going to paint my toenails and watch a movie I rented Saturday night but haven't watched yet. Did anyone see Gosford Park? Maybe I'll make a nice meal for dinner too.
Kathy, I hope your dd feels better soon and my thoughts and prayers are with your friend.

Thanks for the kind thoughts you guys :) I will let you know how things progress.
Karla I think jury duty would be right up my alley too!!
Bev I LOVED Gosford Park, thought it was excellent!! Enjoy your afternoon.
Ann I used to do jazzercise a million years ago, has it changed much? I never hear about it around her anymore.
Good morning,
Haven't been here in a very long time - just thought I would see what was "new" :)
We have been busy finishing up with building our new home FINALLY!!!! Has been a very long project - cannot wait to move in!!!
Homeschooling is going really well this year - so far, so good - taking it one year at a time.
I started taking Tae Kwon Do with the kids and love it!! What a workout!!!
Going to an apple orchard today to climb trees and pick apples - should be fun!!! Then going to bake an apple pie.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Kathy, I think it's essentially the same, more free weight work and core work ala pilates.
morning all, busy day here again....filling in for a girl at work while she is on vacation....WOW 8o I forgotten how busy things can get....8o I am handling it...but its stressfull and fun at the same time....getting dks ready for the bus, its picture day....so we are trying to get the right outfit picked out...ds gets off first...then dd will want a bath...and then to dress... she is such a girl.......hitting the tredmill, showering myself...rushing off to work, then home for homework and then dinner....can't wait till 8:30 pm.....(kids hit the sheets  )
Have a great day all.....
Not much going on around here. I have 3 dck's all day and no plans for this evening except for to watch Real World and do laundry.
Kathy- thinking of your friend and her family. How sad...

The dreaded call finally came. Our friend was taken off life support this afternoon and died immediately. I am so filled with sadness, I just can't believe it's true. A 4 year old and a 7 year old without their mommy. She was only diagnosed 7 weeks ago!!! You know, I have never really lost a friend, I just can't seem to get my head around this. I don't know what to do for them.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts through all of this, you guys are great.
I am so sorry for your loss, Kathy....and theirs! You can't really "say" anything but there is alot you can do....arrange food, carpools, errands for them...just be there to babysit if he needs it.

(((Kathy))) I'm coming in late and I haven't kept up with the boards lately, so I'm not really sure of the circumstances. It is so sad though! I will keep you all in my prayers!
My life has been one big rat race this week. My sister's wedding was really nice but it involved a couple late late nights in a row.
My brother's family was over at mom's on Saturday so we spent the day there. Sunday was spent looking at a couple more houses for the preschool. (I'll post another thread just about it when I'm done here)
Yesterday, today (and tomorrow) I have been subbing for my sister while she's on her honeymoon. It's been a lot of fun.
Thursday and Friday I'll be back at the daycare here.
The pipes under the kitchen sink rusted through the other night and dh just got all the right parts to fix it tonight. The kitchen is a complete disaster because we couldn't use the sink or the dishwasher!8o
I skimmed the topics of the threads I missed. I'll try to catch up on some of them if I have time.
Have a good night all!
{{{{hugs}}}} and prayers for you Kathy and for the family she left behind.

Kathy~ Prayers and hugs to you and the family...all I can say is just being there for the family would be great, hang in there...
Not much happening here today. Getting on here late too. No dck's but they are all back tomorrow. It has been very cold here around 45..And it is supossed to snow this weekend....8o
Have been trying to get things ready for the baby, have the dresser and the cradle up, now I am just washing all the blankets and clothes that have been in storage for almost 4 years.
Went to the Dr. today and everything is good. I have about 3 weeks left to go...It will be nice to be able to get comfortaable again. I have been having a sore back alot so I dont sit in front of the computer as much or as long.
Hope everyone had a good day...

Thank you so much for all your kind words and sympathy. I was awake most of the night, still shocked I guess. So, so sad. Waiting to hear about visitation and the funeral. I know all funerals are difficult, but this one is going to be one of the worst I think. Thanks again.
Oh Kathy, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend...I agree with Ann...just be there for the family, organizing and just helping out is so helpful.... (hugs) take time to grieve yourself too...
