Cojumbus day crafts

Does anyone have any simple ideas for Columbus Day crafts?? Thanks.

The ones we always did were making boats. You could also do a very small shortened version of Columbus discovering America. You could make telescopes, and hats like what you always picture the sailors wearing. If I think of anything else I will let you know. :)

This isn't so simple but you might want to try it.

You can always get a picture of one of the columbus ships and let the children use different materials to "color" the picture (colored pasta, colored rice, tissue paper, beans, etc.)
