The most recent one I can think of is when a friend a came over and she asked if I had a housekeeper. (No, my house is not always that clean. :\ )

Can't think of one in particular...but I am regularly complimented on the behavior of my boys. I thinks that's a WONDERFUL compliment and I make sure to share it with them.:)

Like MaryL, people frequently comment on how well brought up my dds are.
However for me personally, I remember way back when I was working full time and the girls were in a great daycare, they were 3 and 5. The director said to me "Some of the teachers and I were talking about you today. We were commenting on how no matter how busy/tired/rushed you are, you always take the time to answer your children, you don't just rush them along, you always have time for them". I had never thought of it before, but I guess I do :) I thought that was a very nice compliment.
Mine happened 2 summers ago. A former acquaintance (who recently was divorced) told me he would breakup with his girlfriend in a drop of a hat if he thought he could have a chance with me. It was the first time in a LONG time that no one looked at me as dh's wife or dk's mother. I was Amy-the hot toddy! ROFL

I just got this one tonight and it's waaayyy up there -
a friend of mine said, I'm such an easy person to like, am such a good person, and good people are hard to find. :D Made my day!
Well, I have to say that this one came from one of my students the other day. I wore a summery little skirt and top knowing that the warm days were soon to be no more. One of my students told me as soon as he came in that my dress was so pretty. Then at the end of the day he gave me a hug as he was leaving and said, "Mrs. P thank you for wearing that dress cause you look beee - u - ti - ful in it". I thought that was too cute.

My sister is always telling me what a wonderful sister I am to her... and my mother is constantly telling me what a great dd I am and how she appreciates everything that I do for her. The last one I got though was from one of my dcp's... she brought me a bouquet of flowers and a card thanking me for being such of a good dc provider. It feels good to hear good things about yourself every once in a while. LOL
Diane...
recently I was told by two of my step sisters that she admired the way my kids respected each other....that the fact that they actually like one another said I must be doing it right...LOL...I took that as a real compliment
I get complimented on how good my children are and that feels really good!
I also recently found out that my ds's kindergarten and first grade teachers were talking to a parent who was looking for dc. She had told they a few names of people that she was going to call and interview with, one of them being me. They both told her that she didn't need to interview me... and that I was the one who should watch her children! :D I thought it was sweet that they think that highly of me. In fact the K teacher is pregnant and has already asked me to watch her baby! 8o
