I was wondering if anyone new the requirments for getting a CDA and do you have to have any education before getting it. I am from Iowa I don't know if that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.

CDA is a nationally recognized credential that is based on training hours, experience, parent interaction, and building a portfolio of resources. There is an assessment after you have met all the requirements. It's not (or it doesn't have to be) based on formal 'college' training. Call the licensing board of your area, your local child care council, or check out www.naeyc.org for more specific information.
