Good morning everyone. Although I really wanted to sleep in today, I'm up bright and early as usual :\
Catching up on some laundry this morning :rolleyes:
It calls for a beautiful day today :yippee: I really should get outside and clean up the garden before the really cold weather comes.
Dks have hockey practices today, but at least the times are spread out so hopefully dh will take them both (one at 12:00, and one at 4:00 ) .
As much as I hate the malls on the weekends, I'm thinking I might sneak away for a bit and do some shopping :D
What do ya'll have planned for today?
I'm heading back to Rochester today to visit my Dad and go house hunting. At the last minute we were able to get a ticket for dh and wouldn't you know, he gets to have a whole different airline and flight time. I get stuck with my dk's for the whole day-with an extra special layover in Kentucky/Cincinatti :( Not our favorite airport. Its pretty sad that my kids are fairly knowledgable about our country's airports. LOL They are quite the travelers. We will be back on Wednesday night-hopefully with great news about my Dad and a prospective house!! Take care!

Good luck with the house hunting.
Glad to hear that your dh is able to go with you....isn't it amazing that the women always get the kids. I have an idea, switch flights and let your dh take the kids ;)

It's beautiful outside this morning, not temp. wise, but the fact that we have a soft white blanket over everything, it's not laying in drifts, and it's just so nice and smooth, undisturbed by tire tracks or foot prints, I love it!
A busy but fun day planned today, a couple of cakes to bake, a few hours of cheorography at the gym and then going to a ladies night out tonight put on by one of our service clubs. It's a supper and followed by entertainment, and I won my tickets to it! I hadn't planned on going, but now I'm excited.

I really wanted to sleep but woke up at 7!! The boys didn't go to sleep till 4 am!!!!!!! They had a great time and are such goofs! The black light putt putt was really fun! In the middle of it all, ds turns to me and says "mom this is so neat, thanks!"
you should see them now, they are asleep on the floor in the den all piled together..they look like a litter of puppies !!!!
not much else on today, dd comes home around 2, then has birthday party 4-6 and we are going to a neighbors for a happy hour/see their new kitchen 5-7.
Amy..thought dh couldn't leave town..will he stay the whole time?

He just got special permission yesterday!! He can only stay until Tuesday.
That is too funny about ds! I can't imagine listening to them until 4 am!LOL
They were actually pretty quiet..just played Nintendo and watched movies.
glad he got permission, that would be hard trying to decide a house by yourself.....even though they don't have much input really ;) :)

Dh just got home from the 8k downtown - the Richmond Marathon is today and they tie in an 8k with it. He's off to the Deopt later.
Dd and I will visit the library and who knows what else we'll get into - the temp. is to be in the 70's!

Good morning everybody!
Its a beutiful day out there today. Sunny and it's gonna be around 60 degrees. Should be a fun day. I'm going to the movies with a friend then to dinner, probably Applebees since it's right there.

since its been pouring rain here since yesterday....and Santa Barbara is soaking wet and they expect it to rain all weekend...we cancelled our trip...everyone is a little disappointed:( ...but we hit Block Buster late yesterday...got some kid movies...even got the Powerpuff Girls the Movie....:) they were thrilled....got the Ya Ya siterhood...dh and I watched it last night, I thought it was very cute even dh giggled.......
we all had a great dinner...and dh and I had some great wine :goofy:
Dh is making pancakes for breakfast and we are planning to play some board games later with the kids...more movies and hanging out....might hit the musem tommorrow....

Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your trip Renee. I think if you had a little bit more wine, I bet you could still put those sleeping bags to good use ;) :goofy:

Marla, I hate the malls too...but not just on weekends. Shopping isn't my favorite thing. I think I had a warped childhood! LOL
Amy- Good luck with your trip. Hope you find just what you want, and that your Dad is feeling better. I'm sure he'll be glad to see you.
Fern, Snow always looks pretty at first. That's how you get sucked into staying!! I need to go visit Renee for the winters!!

RCT, Sorry about your trip. Hope you manage to have a wonderful weekned anyway. I thought it never rains in southern California?
I woke up so sick....I haven't been sick to my stomach in years (well except for that little codeine reaction last year :sick: ). So I missed dd3's cheerleading competition. She understood and I figured I'd just go to the next one. She called me a little while ago to tell me they won 1st place in their division, and overall champions of the whole competition. And I MISSED IT!!! Now I have to find out where to get the tape. I know they're available. She sounded so excited!! I heard rumors that they may be going to regionals in Richmond??? That'd be pretty cool.

Sounds like you've all had a busy day.
Dh had to go into work for about an hour this morning then we went over to a neighboring town where the Gibson's store is having their store closing sale. Everything is 30%-50% off. We found some things we needed and stocked up on Christmas lights. Now just to get dh to get them put up before it gets cold again.
My little sis came over when we got home and I chatted with her for a while. Dh went deer hunting.
We went to church and when we got back dh had called that he got a doe. One of his friends was coming out to help him track it. So I suppose I get to cut up deer meat tomorrow.
Yesterday we met with an accountant and worked through a business plan for the preschool. There were some figures we hadn't figured high enough, but it still a profit!! :happydnc:
She is going to type up the figures for us so we would have something to show the bank.
I need to get busy working on those ornaments so they can be sent off Tuesday. (No mail Monday due to Veteran's Day)

She was so funny. She said they are thinking of not going to VA because they'd rather go to another competition where they have a better chance of winning. She said she just loved when everyone was clapping and throwing confetti after they won.

I am telling you..it's the boy thing! Not sure dd will EVER get to have a sleepover! LOL
