Just wanted to give a super quick update! Luke Alexander was born November 7, 2002 at 10:09am. :) We got to the hospital and they started the inductiion at 9:30pm Wednesday night, but the stuff that's always worked for me didn't work! 8o The doc even broke my water at about 5:00 Thursday morning and nothing. So at 6:30 they gave me 1/2 tablet of Cytotec (new stuff I guess) and ds was born at 10:10. My contractions started around 7:00, so from 7:00 to 10:00am isn't too shabby!
Ds weighs 8lbs, 5oz, our biggest baby, and was 20 1/2 inches long. They did all of the tests and bath, etc right there in the room with me! :) It was the first time that they've not whisked my babies right to the nursery for all that stuff. It was very nice. They did a blood sugar test on him and found that his blood sugar was very low. Long story short, he ended up in NICU from Thursday night to Saturday night on IV meds. :bawling: His poor little feet look like pincushions because they tested him ever three hours during that time. Finally yeserday they said that his levels were stable and we could take him home! :* There was a stamp on his little t-shirt that said "Property of St. Joseph's Hospital" and I was beginning to wonder if that was for the t-shirt or for ds!!! They seemed bound and determined to keep him there.
All is well now and we're home. :*
