today is the deadline for the family night that I am chairng...this will be interesting, reservations have been slow in coming in, Monday was just at 326 and there are usually about 550... keep your fingers crossed! The money for the prizes for the bingo comes from the meals we sell...so less people mean less prizes. We are doing 2 quart plastic jugs filled with candy, and depending on what money comes in, we will put dollar bills inside them too..ranging from a couple of bucks up to $10.
what will be more interesting is to see if people try to send in after the deadline
cold here..42 right now but gorgeous, up to 72 today
treadmill, laundry and then tonite working on the reservations

Morning!
Waiting for my overalls to dry and then it's off to work, Weight Watchers, a church meeting tonight ......... and that's about it.
The rain is heading out and leaves are falling like crazy!!
The foliage is awesome this week - drove to Charlottesville yesterday and even in the rain, the colors were spectacular!!!!

It looks like we'll be raking leaves again this weekend... (for about the 4th time) The leaves have been slow to fall this year... just a little bit at a time but just enough to have to rake em up. Ugh!!! We really lost a lot of them yesterday. LOL The kids and I went outside and raked a bunch of them up and they had a lot of fun running and jumping into them. They also made "nests" and pretended they were a bunch of little birds. :) I was amazed at how long the kids played with them darn ol leaves... I almost don't want to rake them up. LOL
Nothing too much planned for my day today. If it's still nice outside I might walk the kids to the park for a while. The only bad part of doing that at this time of the year is that they've already removed the porta-potties and when/if someone suddenly has to go... you're pretty stuck, which is why we probably won't stay there that long. LOL
I've got to do some serious cleaning in my house. I've been so busy making my Christmas ornaments I've kind of let my housework slip a bit. 8o 8o I was even lazy last night and stuck a frozen pizza in the oven for supper... 8o 8o but at least I finished them all up... I'm hoping that I can get by with sending them all out in regular envelopes. ?( ?( I'm going to try to catch my postman this afternoon and see what he thinks would work best. :)

Morning!
What a yukkie day! It's raining again and it very chilly. went to class came home and supposed to go food shopping with dad before I go back to class. I just don't feel like doing much of anything today. It's one of those day you just want to stay home and sleep.

I am watching my friend's baby again. And, once again he is crabby. :\ It is so wearing. I can get nothing done and the boys get frustrated with the fussing and me not being able to do anything for them. :\ Last week I asked her how she gets anything done and she said he was just "working" me. :rolleyes: I think I just need to learn to say no. Anyone wanna help me? :D Not much else going on today. Need to some laundry, but have a feeling that will be put aside as I am already typing one handed today. LOL!
Help me! I need to unget a life... I've been busy beyond belief and it's driving me nuts! Hopefully it will slow down soon, because I don't enjoy life being this way! :\
I can't even remember what day I posted last, but this weekend I was at the hospital twice... dd has a double ear infection and ds ended up with pink eye in both eyes! :rolleyes: Gotta love these killer colds...
Tonight ds has a basketball game and that's it for tonight.

well, drank our Champange last night...have a little headache this am...kids made their own breakfast...spilled Oj in the kitchen...had to mop that up...the gardeners came at 8:15 this morning and scared the peejeepers out of me....as I was louging on the couch :goofy:...they usually come tues. afternoons....this was a surprise....oh the kids drank all the milk so I can't have breakfast.....need to hit the store today...return the videos....
everyone have a great Wed.....hey at least its sunny here....going to hit the low eighties...so I might finish my errands and relax on the patio after the garden guys leave....:)8)

Good afternoon all. My real work day is half over, but I volunteered to come back in to work tonight and take a trip to one of the local schools where I will be dressed up in the library mascot costume and walk around visiting with the kids. Tonight is Family Reading night and one of the schools is having a program where a group of local community workers are going to read books to the families. The mayor, a fireman and a police officer all came into the library looking for a book to read. :read: Very interesting to help them.
I received a call from the hospital and my first day there will be on Friday. I get to work the wonderful shift of 3-11 pm. It could be worse, though. 8)
Hope everyone's day has been and continues to be great. The weather is crisp here. Kind of cold but not too terribly unbearable. Sunny and bright. :D

I have been chasing dust bunnies all day... And they are winning!!! :D DD's B-Day party is friday and I have to work on Friday, so I have been trying to get things done early.
Two of DD's friends will be coming to spend the night for the next five nights while their parents go out of town.
So, I am just staying ahead.
Here is what we decided for DD's party.
We will go the beauty School to be glamourized. Then back to our house for a sub sandwich, chips, fruit tray, vegie tray, and Cake. Should be lotsa fun.
DD picked out this pouch purses from the dollar store. We added lip gloss, stick on ear rings and a ring.
I did get side tracked and started to organize my closet. It is a mess!! Not really, but it is also my craft space, so you can imagine.

Hi all. Can't believe how *&*^&^% cold it is here! Renee make room....we're gonna come live with you!!! :lol: It was -17C this am and only got to -9C. Overnight it is supposed to drop down to -20C tonight! :frosty:
Dd has dance tonight and other dd has a family fun night at TrailBlazers. Kinda wish I could just stay home and keep warm.
No school for the kids (and me) on Friday....parent/teacher meetings.
Best get supper on the table!

8) Funny how I have been hearing that alot these past few days.....8) Sorry your so cold.....HOT SOUP? CHOCOLATE?
I went on a cleaning jag yesterday. Moving furniture, vacuuming baseboards, door molding, etc.
Leaves here are a nightmare Diane. Even after losing 5 since we've moved in we still have about 12 big old oaks. Most have finally lost all their leaves, but we still have a couple that won't lose theirs for a couple more weeks unless we get some storms. Dh bought a new toy last weekend. A leaf vacuum with mulcher. He played with it a little yesterday. With the high volume of leaves we have I guess it was worth it. Just not much daylight weekdays to do much.
Jennifer, we had a very gray, rainy week last week, but the up side was that the sun would break through and shine on the mountain and just highlighted the colors all the more. It was breathtaking.
Battling a hugh headache today so I'm about done here. Skipping church tonight. Dh has gone to town to pick up something for dinner. I'm going to try to get in bed by 8:00. I think it's sinus. I sure can't afford to be sick with the big Thanksgiving program desperately needing my attention.
Sounds like you all had full days today. I attended a seminar at work called "Think Quick"; it was very enlightening. Picked up Wendys after and took it to my Dad's. He didn't mention anything about his fall and trip to the ER on Saturday night. He seemed in good spirits, but then he always is. Went to fitness tonight and am just now catching up on the computer.
Amazing Race starts in less than 1/2 an hour!!!!

Okay...so keep that in mind when you are shopping for a new house! Lots of extra rooms for us IB'ers! :lol: :lol: Just think.....you could set up a B&B and help pay off your mortgage!!
