View Full Version : Thursday!
Let's hear it for procrastinators!!!
Last Tuesday, we had 30 meals sold..the count at the deadline yesterday was 546!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will have $200 to put spread between the candy jars!!! We might even spread $100 and then have a grand prize of $100 or (2) $50!!!
feeling much more relieved today!!!
stuffing candy jars today...that's my day! LOL
have a good one.
Isn't that always the way it is. Glad to hear the overwhelming response.
Up early for me. Been on the internet ordering things for school. Spending a little carnival money. Now I need to get going and start ds's breakfast and head on out. At least the headache is gone.

It's a parent/teacher conference day for me, so I don't have to start until noon! Felt so good to sleep in a bit. Last night I had non-stop conferences from 3:30-8:00 p.m. 8o That's alot of talking! Whew! Today they are a little bit more spread out, and I only go until 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow we are off (even dh!) and are taking the kids bumming around to an outlet mall for the day. They want to see the new Harry Potter movie (opens tomorrow)...but I hate fighting crowds on opening day. They can wait until next weekend, I'm sure!;)
Have a good day everyone!

Ann-sounds like you are dong fantastic!
Mary-dks are so excited about the Harry Potter movie. Dh prebought tickets and is taking them tomorrow.
Today is my flexible day-decided to go on the treadmill this morning, have some errands to do, have to go to the camp office, and then take the kids for their flu shots.
Happy Thursday everyone :)

Happy Thursday! Work today. Survivor tonight, lol. I may go out and buy myself a new pair of Doc Martens...my favourite black pair that I purchased in 1994 have finally succumbed and have a split in the sole :(
Someone went through out cars last night, all over our street. We don't lock our cars in our driveway as we don't leave anything of value in them and we would rather have them get in and get nothing than BREAK in and get nothing, lol...this has happened before on our street and we don't even live in a high crime area of our city. Anyway, last night my parking permit for work was stolen. Had to file a report with our campus police on my lunch and get a replacement permit. Good thing is if they find a vehicle with my old permit they will tow the vehicle and it will cost the owner $300 to get it back.
I'm a little sore today, I moved the toys out of my dining room down to our basement. My little one is two now so he's pretty good at the stairs and I'm not too uncomfortable with him playing by himself down there. It does feel really quiet and lonely up here now with all the kids downstairs.:(
I have a baby shower next week for my neighbor, Thanksgiving at my house, Dh graduates Dec 20, and X-mas is at my house as well. Hopefully we won't go broke feeding all these people. :) The family always bring dishes to share, but the shower and the grad party are all just me. I think the food budget is really going to take a beating over the next month.

Well it has been sort of a long day today. After work, I went to change insurance on our vehicles. (I hate that  ) The company we were with went up a lot. Dh and I only had PIP and liability on both vehicles at the old company, and the new company said I could get full coverage on both vehicles for the same price. I didn't wind up getting full coverage, but did wind up adding comprehensive to both vehicles. I figured that would come in handy if any of our pecan trees decided to fall. I hope that dh and I are going out to eat tonight. We very seldom go out to eat and if we do tonight, it will be twice this week. :)

Happy Thursday! I have been working all day. Okay not all day but it seems like it.
Ann-Seems like things are working out after all! Glad to hear it. Your event sounds like it will be fun. I wouldn't mind a jug of candy with a stash hidden inside. :licklips::licklips:
My fiance and I have been talking about our wedding plans more frequently. He wants a small wedding and with my family even a small wedding will be a big wedding. I feel a little akward because his list consists of family friends and close coworkers and still only amounts to about 40 people. My list of only aunts uncles and their children/grandchildren is already at about 100. This just seems a little unbalanced. There isn't anyone I can "shave off " either. Plus I want to invite my friends as well. Am I worrying about this too much? :\
It has been cold and rainy here and I just want to get a mug of hot chocolate and curl up in my bed and listen to my book. I have been listening to a lot of children's books lately. I like the fact that I don't have to think too hard about what they are about. :newwink:
Have a good evening and a great morning tomorrow!
I wouldn't...it's not your fault that you have a large family! LOL At our wedding, the most was our friends, then my family, then my parent's friends, then dh's parent's friends and then his family! (his family is really small!)

So much for a relaxing day off!! I ran kids to school, came home, organized my Avon order and submitted it, re-figured and typed up our financial plan for the preschool and rushed to town to meet with the lady at the bank. I was even late because I couldn't get the spreadsheet to print certain numbers they just came out as ##s.(I re-formatted the column length and it worked! :))
Then I had an hour to kill before taking dd #2 to the dentist. She has some molars coming in and the gum is in the middle of the tooth and hurting her. I figured it was just because they weren't fully in yet, but thought we'd better make sure. We looked around a couple stores.
Once she got done there we had about 1/2 to kill until ds #3 got out of head start. We went and picked up my "free" turkey that we earned from spends tons of money in the grocery store.
Finally we got to go home. (I hadn't even gotten time to eat breakfast so I was quite hungry by this time)
I ate a mini pizza and then we ran over to a neighboring town to drop off some AVON orders. I got home long enough to fiddle around and then it was back to town to pick up the kids from school. Since then I've been trying to work on a parent handbook, which is homework for my night class.
Dh just got home from hunting so I need to check his hamburger on the grill.
Just about ready to turn the tv over to survivor too.
Have a good night all!!
