It took me a day to recuperate from the flying and driving back from NY, but I'm here! LOL

My Dad is doing unusually well. The doctors are shocked over his recovery. I think my Mom is experiencing post traumatic syndrome because she is a nervous wreck. Dad wants to start doing things for himself again and Mom would rather he sit in his chair all day and go to bed every night at 8pm so she can relax. I don't think she will get what she wants-knowing Dad. LOL

We still don't know anything about the house we want. Just talked to my agent today and he has been playing phone tag with the listing agent all week. He told me to assume that we won't get this because if the other deal had fallen through by now, the listing agent would have been tracking him down persistently. I'm okay with it now, but not looking forward to starting over again. If we get to leave in February, we can't just all go back to NY again before then. Just too expensive and time consuming. We will see what happens though. Dh also doesn't want to live in a rental anymore. He would rather move from this house to his permanent house, since he is the one who boxes up everything and moves our things himself. Still like our agent and I think he is very proactive.

I'm glad to hear that your dad is doing so much better... Your mom sounds exactly the way my mom was the first time my dad had a heart attack. He'd get up to go do ANYthing and she was right there behind him trying to either help him or trying to convince him to sit back down and rest. LOL In time she finally did get over it... thank GOD, as she was driving my dad (and us) absolutely crazy!!! LOL

Hope you hear something pretty soon about the house... either way it's nice to know for sure. Hopefully you'll find something as nice (if not more) as you did this one. Keep us updated!

Diane....
