Well, it's over! Fiesta night was fun but, dinner took an hour longer to serve!!! combination of things..I should have had another serving line, the caterer should have pre-made things, and we gave people too many choices..took too long in line for them to decide!
But bingo was a great success so maybe that will wipe their minds for the LONG wait in line for food! at least I won't have to worry about being asked to chair anything for a while! LOL


somewhat busy day today. I need to make 4 Sour Cream Spinach Chicken Enchilladas casseroles for a wedding brunch I am hosting tomorrow. Shouldn't be a big deal...I put the chicken in the crockpot on low before I went to bed..it's so nice an tender now! All I have to do now is assemble it. Hope the recipe is good, I found it on the net! LOL
The bride is an old friend..I have never NOT known her..our parent's were single together! LOL She is getting married for the first time at 45! The hosts are two generations of the friends and their are a total of 6, so not too much work for any of us. It's at my folks.
Tonite all the hosts plus the bride/groom and her parents are going to the horse races!!!

Hello fellow early - bird! :) Glad to hear things went well!

Dd was up and down last night w/ a fever of 102 -- she's in our bed panting now.... poor thing. Guess I'll see when she wakes up what other symptoms she has.......

Sooo, with that, we'll be sitting home until dh gets home from the Depot around 4:30 - then I may escape to do some Christmas shopping.

I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. I think I am finally non jet lagged/time zone deficient.

Have no idea what is on the agenda today. We need to get food and clean the house.

Not much happening here so far this morning. Although it is very sunny out 8) I have a feeling that is very cold :frosty: No snow yet....hurray :yippee:

The countdown is on...4 weeks yesterday we leave for Florida. I am already to start to pick up things for the kids (that they don't know about) for the car ride down. Went to the Sandy Lion Sticker Outlet yesterday and stocked up on tons of stickers and sticker books. Picked up a couple new DVDs that they wanted. I'll have to sneak a peek at their Game Boy games and see if I can find a couple of new games. Over the next week or so, I'm going to take them to the bookstore and have them choose a couple of LONG chapter books as well.

DKs have hockey practices today (as usual) and eldest ds is supposed to have a friend over later.

Dh and I would love to go out tonight, but can't find a babysitter :\ ....anyone interested ;) ????

Good morning. My house is so quiet and it's a bit spooky. Dds are busy today but they managed to get their own rides and get themselves ready. I had some minor surgery yesterday, and I'm moving a little slowly. I think I'll just enjoy the fact that they are being considerate and laze around.

Ann-- your fiesta sounds like it went well. Make sure you write down the changes you want to make so it'll be easier when they give you this project again next year!!
Jen--hope she feels better. Maybe that fever will fight off whatever's trying to get her sick.
Amy-- How about relaxing for a day or two? It's sure been busy for you guys for a while. I'm sorry the house hunt wasn't wildly successful.
Marla--Florida sounds wonderful. I'll take some of that bright sunshine....we've got a touch of snow, and low, gray clouds. Yuck!!

Well, I'M a good mom!! NOT!! Dd got up thirsty and since her tummy had not been a issue in the night, I gave her some juice and toast so I could start the Children's Motrin w/out it upsetting an empty stomach.
WELLL........ let's just say, she has an empty stomach NOW!! :\
Poor thing threw up and has crashed in her bed.... I did go on and give her Motrin, so hopefully, she'll feel better when she wakes up. <fingers crossed>


Amy - glad you're feeling back to 'normal'. :) We need food desperatly here! That's what I'll really get out to do later. :\

Marla - I'll come babysit!! THIS is NOT my idea of a fun Saturday!! LOL

Good day all. My sewing machine has been getting a workout this morning. I've been busy making Indian vests for the Thanksgiving program this week. I'd made little dresses for the Pilgrims a few years ago. Thought it was time my Indians were properly dressed. I thought with all the kids on stage at the same time that all the paper vests would be to noisey. Breaking for coffee and computer time then it's back to attaching the bead work.

On my to do list the rest of the day: shopping, of course, laundry (I didn't do any all week), washing the cabinets down in the kitchen and laundry room, and changing the shelf paper. That should get me to Trading Spaces tonight.

dh is working until noon....kids and I are lounging....got some laundry to do...then off to my hair appt. getting a cut and hightlight touch up :heart: love being a blonde....meeting the kids and dh at the park after so that should be fun....:walkin:

Not much here this morning. I am moving a little slow. I decided I wanted stawberry daquiris last night and I think I had one too many. Dh is being great about it though.

I have washed a couple loads of clothes this morning, but that is about it.

Tried to sleep in this morning but the kids didn't want to be quiet.

Dh and ds #1 went hunting but didn't get a deer yet. They're about ready to head out again.

OOh!!!8o 8o A big black spider just landed on my head as I was typing!! That's sure one way to wake me up!!

Kids are going to go over and play with some cousins over at Grandmas for a while. While I have a quiet house I plan to work on my parent handbook. I have to have it done for class on Wednesday night.

I also need to keep the laundry moving and should bake some cookies or something.

I have horrible cramps. :\ Hoping the Motrin kicks in soon. I did a little Christmas shopping this morning and plan to head out again for a little bit. Old Navy was a ZOO!! 8o Dh's ass't bball coach is coming out for dinner. He's such a nice guy and the kids love having him over. (Hey AmyD - maybe you should move up here so I can set the 2 of you up!! :* :D)
