Okay, I definately jinxed myself. Yesterday I posted that it was cold out with no snow...my kinda weather. Well, we definately got hit with our first winter storm last night :frosty: and it is still snowing. Don't know what the final accumulation will be, they were calling for about 15 cm.
We usually hire a snowplowing service to do the driveway and the walkway (we get so much snow during the winter and dh doesn't shovel cuz of a back injury). Guess who didn't send the contract in yet 8o ?( :\ Looks like I'm going to bundle up myself and the kids (child labour ;) ) and go work on the driveway soon. It's actually fun as long as the snow isn't too heavy (I don't have a great back either  )

Snowing here too Marla, supposed to get 25cm followed by 40mm of rain, what a mess that will be! I love the snow, but not all the mixed precipitation in between :{
WOW!!! and I am happy that it's down to 50! ;)
Snowing here too Marla. Drove into Oakville last night for dinner and it took me over an hour to get home; it sure was a slippery, sloppy mess.
Dh has ds at hockey. Ds has a friend coming over in the afternoon. I didn't get my cookies baked yesterday so I'll be baking them today.
Remember to go slow and not lift to high Marla :frosty:
I bet its beautiful....

:bawling: I want snow! Dd wants to build a :frosty: something awful! We were supposed to get snow showers last night... but of course... nada! Those same mountains that keep the tornadoes from coming our way also keep the snow from coming our way! :{ We went to Wal-Mart yesterday to get some fire logs because it's FINALLY cold enough to use the fireplace, and it was a mad-house! Around here, people rush the stores and buy up all the milk and bread at the first mention of snow flurries!! And the schools close, too!!!!
Marla, take it easy shovelling... I say you delegate and the ds's do the work ;)

Have you lost your mind, Woman??? This is the white, cold, pervasive, wet, un-ending curse of winter in the North that you're talking about, right??? ICK!
Can you tell I'm a summer lover?

ROFL!! I love summer, too! I just want a little snow for a little bit, I want to go sledding with my dks and build a snowman I want to enjoy the beauty of the first snowfall, I want to still be able to drive and I don't want it to interfere with any of my plans, but I do want a snow day or 2. :D Am I asking too much? ?(

I know how it can kind of suck you in...I remember feeling a little guilty hating snow so much when it made dds so happy. And I may be a bit sensitive on the weather topic this year, due to the fact that the 2 hour drive between me and my guy is right through that snow belt that used to have RCT's school closed every day or 2. (He needs to move!!!) LOL
Enjoy it when it comes, Karla. Just don't rush it. :)

I don't like snow per say, but I do like snow days! I remember as a kid on snow days we get out monopoly (or some other board game ). Mom would make us popcorn and we'd just enjoy the day. A lot of times, however, the power would go off so there wasnt' much else we could do. If that was the case we'd all go to the one bedroom upstairs that has a gas heater in it where we'd stay warm. Mom could still make the popcorn on the old gas stove in the basement.
Playing in the snow was fun too.

You can have whatever we got last night. There wasn't much but I will gladly give it all to you! :D If you really want snow though you need to talk about not wanting it. If you notice, not too many who really like it and say that they want it are actually getting it. It is always those who don't want it that get it. You know like me.
Be careful out there everyone, snow or no snow! :)

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!! You're my kind of gal! ;) We've had snow flurries...but no accumulation. Snow is "pretty"...until the roads are slippery, and you HAVE to shovel just to get INTO the house! LOL I know we'll get PLENTY of snow...no rush in my opinion!!

For all of you who are missing the snow, and wishing you had it....I had to shovel two times today because it snowed all day long :frosty:
Actually, it was really pretty and the kids had a great time playing in the snow. I just really hate it when it gets all slushy (probably going to happen tomorrow when the temperatures warm up :\ ) I also hate the cold :nervous:

That is one of the things I miss from Germany. I hated the slush too, but me being from FL, when it snowed over there, I found it wonderful! :D

ROFLMAOPMP!!! Well fine then! :D
We finally got some snow yesterday too! We got a very light dusting on the roads and sidewalks last week- but nothing stuck to the grass... (not fun for the kids). Yesterday they were outside as soon as they saw the flakes falling. We didn't get much at all, but it was enough for them to play with the snow on the sidewalks. They are really looking forward to more!
