View Full Version : Got most of my Christmas shopping DONE!
Toy's R Us was having a good sale...got ds all the things he wanted and stayed within my budget.. Got dd most things she asked for....couldn't find the bike she likes...but I have confidence...also like to leave her some leeway...since her mind changes weekly....even got all the other gifts I needed out of the way....only need to finish dd and get stocking stuffers for all:stocking: :smilesant I am so pleased with myself...my girl friend and I had a great long lunch and it was heaven....she finished most of her shopping too....
My only complaint is...I did this before thanksgiving for a reason...the malls were still croweded...and they were playing Christmas music....OH and Santa was already in the mall taking photos with the kids...:santa: ARGH...too early in my opinion...

wow...I'm impressed
I was thinking today...I may start some shopping online this week....I don't think I'm up to walking around...because of my back.
Or I may just go to stores to shop for one or two gifts at a time. Well see. I wish I could do it all at once and get it done. Not much time with school.

I have absolutely NOTHING done, which is very unlike me. I have decided what I am baking though, so that's a start. I think this year I am going to powershop in one day - I've never done it before, so should be interesting.
I am pretty much done. We don't shop for the kids till middle of December. Don't know what they want yet, won't let them talk about it this early. I do know that our present to the both of them is going to be a ping pong table.
I have a good start on ds. Normally I have lists coming out my ears by this time, but I don't have one list. I usually keep a list of stuff I'd like to buy and another of the stuff I've actually bought. I think I'm just going to wing it this year and see how it goes, lol. I don't even have my Christmas cards bought yet :o

Way to go, Renee!! :yippee: I have actually got a lot of my shopping done, too - or at least I think I do. LOL! The ornaments I am supposed to be working on are another story. ;)

Awesome, Renee! I have most of my shopping done, too! :happydnc: Isn't it a great feeling to know that if you change your mind or want to get one more thing for so-in-so that you still have over a month to do it!! I have to thank my friends though for helping me get my shopping done, though. They hosted all of these candle parties, tastefully simple parties and of course my sister with her Mary Kay stuff has been great. I was able to by the satin hands line for my supervisor and for my fiance's mother. I still need to buy for my future fil. Any ideas for the man who has everything and if he doesn't have everything he goes out and buys it the minute he discovers his lacking? He loves golf so I thought that I would buy him a certificate for a round of golf, but that is really more expensive than I was planning on. Any ideas?:\
Get him a monogrammed golf towel or a new golf umbrella.
I've got about half my shopping done. I buy for someone when I see something I know they will like. I picked up alot of gifts on vacation this summer. Ds still only wants a silver trumpet. It's pricey. We're still debating it. It will be so much work to keep looking nice too. Dh wants a new spinning rod and reel. He only has a dozen now. Really not in the spirit yet. I did go ahead and mail my ornaments today. Hopefully everyone will have them by the end of the week.
