Good morning all. I can't believe Friday finally came. I wasn't so sure this week. LOL I'm really in need of a weekend. It has been a little nuts. But from reading up on the postings around here, I'm not alone. It seems like everyone is busy, and a bit stressed, dealing with family, work, and health.
Hang on everyone. We'll make it!! And thank goodness for the ability to post and vent.

DS is still sick. He was supposed to go on this big boy scout campout this weekend, but probably won't now..hard to say it's ok to go when you missed 3 days of school plus I don't think he will feel well enough...poor guy!

Getting ready to excercise, deliver some of dd's old baby clothes to a friend, make appts. for the cars.... junk like that. (woo hoo)
Dd has dance, and that's my day. :)

This has been a long week! I'm so tired. Not much planned. I figured I'd stop in and say Hi then go study for my quizes that I have today.

Its raining here again. Gonna be a good weekend to get my work done.

Ann, I hope your ds starts to feel better real soon. I'm sorry he has to miss his camp-out this weekend.

Work this a.m. then have the afternoon off. Using up some vacation time before December. DH and I are going out this aft to get ds the snowskate [Snosk8] he wants for C-mas and also a "hoodie" (sweatshirt with hood). Have to take the car in for an under-oil...better get that done before the snow flies and the salt comes out for the roads :)

DS is having a friend over to sleep and tomorrow we are taking him and two friends to Toronto for dinner and a movie for his 12th b-day on Sunday. Looking forward to the trip to the "big city", lol.

I woke up at 3:00 in the morning coughing and coughing... couldn't stop. :rolleyes: I got up as to not keep dh awake and read until about 4:00 and then decided to go back to bed and try again. It didn't take long and I must have fallen back to sleep. It sure was hard getting out of bed this morning when the alarm went off though... ugh!!! It seemed like an extremely long week and I'm SOOOOOOO ready for the weekend!!!

Nothing too much going on with my day today. My new family isn't working out as good as I had hoped they would and am thinking about terminating them. The older boy is a lot more work than I care to deal with right now and the little 1 year old isn't happy (cries constantly) unless she's got a bottle stuck in her mouth. I'm starting a new infant next week (a baby with Down's) and I'm not too sure I'll be able to give him all of the attention he's going to need/want if I keep this family. They're only part-time (Thursday's and Friday's) but since I've had them my Thursday's and Friday's have been very long and frustrating. LOL The mother has a real bad attitude (going through a divorce) and seem's to think that she has everything to say about what/how I run my day care. :rolleyes: I'm SO ready for this day to be done/over with... LOL

Dh and I are going out to eat tonight... don't know exactly where yet but anywhere would be fine with me. I love my Friday's when we can get out alone together and just have "US" time. Anyway... I hope that you all have a good Friday!!!

It's a beautiful day out. I all ready got my grocery shopping done. There was a big fire downtown and had to find a round about way home. Almost backed into a police officer's car trying to get away from the mess. I hope that no one was seriously injuried. Appearantly it was a housefire that spread to an appartment building.


Going out to dinner tonight then Christmas shopping tomorrow.

I need to run errands today and then after school we pick up and start delivering cookie dough that ds sold for a fundraiser.

Sounds like we've all had a long week - hope we all get the rest we need/want this wknd!!

DS had to sell cookie dough too..right after he just finished a fund raiser for scouts so instead of baking for my neighbors this Christmas, they are getting cookie dough and can make their own damn cookies! LOL

ROFL!! I am just dreading lugging all of that stuff home today. I'm thinking I'll make dh take him all over to deliver it! :D Don't know how much of ours will actually make it into the oven - I am bad about just eating dough. :rolleyes:

They make really good cookies. It's nice, the kids can make their own snack, scoop out enough dough for a couple of cookies and then bake them.
They really are an easy sell. We don't usually bail out the kids this way but I just hated to hit the same neighbors up again.

morning all....paid off a visa bill today...YIPPEE :yippee: feels GREAT to have one less card....one down one to go....

Kids are making hot wheel cities in ds's room....its quite and nice right now....I must have had a cold this week because I had no energy....I woke up late this morning ...but refreshed finally....

no big plans today....going shopping and to dinner with a friend from work....tonight....dh is doing dinner with the kids....:rolleyes:

I need to hit the tredmill and put the last of the laundry away....

Karla~we bought some from a woman at works child...it was really good dough...made it up and brought the finished cookies to a friend of our....then let the kids eat up the rest , like Ann said...scoop and cook a small amount..

Ann - sorry ds is still sick and will have to miss the campout..
Renee - :yippee: that's a wonderful accomplishment!

Dd is still a little puny, but doing better. I had a doc's appt this a.m. for the headaches I've been having... he gave me something called Esgic and ordered a CAT scan... praying it's just tension and nothing else... better to be safe than sorry, though. So far, the meds haven't touched the headache... I'm on my 2nd one.. .he said I could take up to 2 at a time... but NO DRIVING... sheesh... not feeling the happiness and lack of pain that should go along with this drug! LOL Oh well... maybe it'll have to get into my system more!
Mailed off my ornaments yesterday :yippee: ! Glad to have that marked off the list! Looking forward to a weekend of next-to-nothing! Baby shower on Sunday, but that'll be fun! Tomorrow... lots of couch-potatoing! :lol:

we are going to let ds go on this camp out. Went to the doc, his lungs, ears, sinus..all clear, the coughing has almost stopped, just sounds like a little cough not croup. I am really torn, more on the principal of going since he was out of school than worried that he is sick. Went up to school and got his school work so he can do that before he leaves. But the thing that worries me more is now dh can't go, and I would have liked his dad to be there "just in case". DS is really motivated to go, he is even taking sweatshirts and a jacket and he never does that! LOL

It's nap time at my house and for once all my dck's are asleep! :yippee: The baby is usually awake and then falls asleep when the others wake up!

I'm glad that it's Friday. :) Tonight I'm going to the grocery store to finish up my Thanksgiving shopping and my dc shopping to next week. I'm sure that it will be a mad house at the grocery store this weekend.

Cleaning the house tomorrow and then taking the dks to see Harry Potter on Sunday. Dh is even going and he rarely ever goes to the theater. I have my Chistmas cards all addressed and sitting here waiting for me to do something with them! :lol: So I guess they will be my weekend chore. I mail them out the day after Thanksgiving so I don't have much time left.

Ann- I hope you ds enjoys his trip and is back to 100% soon. How are you feeling? I'm on week 3 of my cold and I'm finally feeling a lot better.

Karla- My dks school did cookie dough too, but I chose not to participate in it, just because it seems like they had 3 back to back fundraisers at school- then dd had one for Girl Scouts and the daycare providers had one too! WAY too much all at once! Enjoy our cookie dough! :)

Amy- hope the meds start kicking in soon!

Renee- :yippee: way to go!!!!! I loved the feeling on finally paying off all our credit cards! Believe me, we'll never do that again... (charge them up again I mean)

(((Diane)))- good luck in making your decision on what to do with your part-timers. Your new baby may be a lot of work. Btw, how old is the other baby now? The sibling of one of your other dck's that you took when they were born? Seems like the grow up so fast. I hope that you are feeling better soon!

I hear ya about the fundraisers!! Both our boys had one for scouts and the oldest one also had gift items for student council. Scouts wanted them each to sell $300 worth. That is much easier said than done, especially for us our here in the country.

Worked today, but really didn't want to. It was kind of boring, because the most kids I had at one time was 6 and that was for only about an hour.

My car is still not done. Lights don't work right. We have bowling tonight so I need to get supper fixed pretty soon.

Not much on the agenda for the weekend event wise. My goal is to sleep in!
