Our Brownies will be in the Christmas parade here, and we need to make a banner, but I don't know what's best to make it out of, or the dimensions, etc. HELP!

If anyone's made one or can give me direction, I'd appreciate it! :)

TIA.

Is it the type of banner that two girls would hold length ways and carry in front of you to identify the troop?

Probably muslin or even a sheet, maybe 10 feet across and 4 feet deep..tack the material onto a dowel at each end to keep it up and for the girls to hold on to.

Muslin.... hadn't thought of that - thanks!
The co-leader and I will carry it to keep the fighting down! LOL
I was stuck on felt, and knew there'd be a better way to go .....
thank you, Ann. :)

I would also suggest a sheeting material. Another suggestion would be to hem the bottom and place weights in the hem, like fishing sinkers or magnets -- it may help to hold the banner down if there is any wind. You could cut the letters from felt or even contact paper. You can do the hem with a glue gun.
