Good morning to everyone.
So far my day isn't starting off too great. Oldest ds just came down and said he isn't feeling well. He has a headache and his stomach is hurting him. I hope it is just a momentary thing, and that he isn't getting sick :sick:
Tomorrow, we are supposed to be hosting an engagement lunch for my brother-in-law. We are having about 20 people over for lunch. My mil arranged for a cleaning lady to come and clean the house today....guess who just called to say she was sick :sick: and isn't coming to clean today. Dh isn't not going to be happy when I wake him up in a few minutes and tell him he has to help me clean today :\
What else can go wrong today?????
Last night my friend and I went to a movie. We went to see Far From Heaven with Dennis Quaid and Julienne Moore. Did anyone else see it? It got an amazing write-up; but ?( I'm not so sure why.
We were supposed to have hockey practices today but it looks like only youngest ds will be going.

Wow Marla sorry your having such a yuk day...hope it gets better.
I'm going to go run some errands...then spend the day working on my papers...Oh fun day here I come...LOL

Good morning! Just catching up here and then will do a bit of housework myself...mainly my floors! This aft we are heading to Toronto with ds and his two friends for the b-day dinner/movie thing.
Marla, I hope your ds starts to feel better soon.

I can't figure out what to do today. I kinda want to go to Santa's Workshop amusement park, but don't know if dd will be up to it today. She spent the night at her best friend's house last night and she is usually a zombie the whole next day. This is suppose to be the nicest day before a huge cold front comes in. High of 60 today and then snow tomorrow!! 8o

DD had a friend spend the night, they stayed up too late and were up at 6:30..this is my child who goes to bed at 10 and sleeps till 11! LOL she will be worthless today. I am going to the wedding reception of my friend who we hosted the brunch for at noon today.

Morning all! Well I have had a week from hell and was in an "I wanna run away from home" funk all week. Am hoping I can pull out of this and get things back on track.
The usual Saturday for us....housecleaning with all the fun that goes with that....NOT! I think I will head to the mall later...by myself....to get some more shopping done.
Hoping mil takes the kids overnight as she often does on Saturdays. The movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is at the theatre here and I would like to go see it.
Hope those that are under the weather feel better soon.
Ann/Amy....maybe I'll come hang out with your dd's and have a lazy day! :D

Bev...happy birthday to your ds....what movie are you going to take them to?

Darlene...why not run away for the day??? Go see the movie as a matinee by yourself and then go out to dinner tonite with your dh.

His birthday is actually tomorrow, but celebrating works better today. DH is taking them to see Harry Potter, while I shop in the mall :)
I think Ann has a good idea...treat yourself to matinee and dinner out with dh.
Morning all....I got up early and made blueberry muffins for my family...then was informed....dd doesn't like blueberry...well too bad for her....ds and I thought they were great....
dh is a work, yet another Saturday....:goofy: we are heading to the park when he returns, for kicking the ball around...then blockbuster for some movies and games....:munch:
Tommorrow we are all going to a birthday party for a five year old....a girl I have known since we were 5, so over 30 years of friendship....it will be good to see her again and meet her ds and dh....I haven't seen her since our High school reunion 8 years ago....and niether of us had children then....actually she was going through an awful divorce....any....the kind of friend you write chirstmas cards to....now lives 25 minutes from me....

After a chilly night, it is supposed to be in the upper 60's today. Dh is taking advantage and playing with his new leaf vacuum. Most of the leaves have now fallen. I think it will take him two good weekends though to get them all up. What a job. He's going fishing a little latter.
Got my morning chores done. Last load of laundry is in the dryer. When it's done, I'm headed to town for groceries. I may do a little Christmas shopping. Haven't decided. I'm pretty wore out from this week.
Ds is out in the fresh air throwing around the football. My nephew is spending the day with us.

We love Toronto so go as often as we can...the last time we were there was early September though. We mostly go downtown. We are going today because ds wants to eat at a restaurant that we don' t have here...we don't have anything here, lol. We were going to go to the one downtown by subway (parking at Yorkdale Mall), but we found another one closer to the mall so we'll just drive. The movie they are seeing is in the mall so I'll just shop and have coffee...maybe take my book and do a little people watching on the side.
Renee, your weekend sounds fun.

WOW what a day Marla. Hope everyone gets to feeling better. I work at a daycare, and what you described is going around. Well I hope your day gets better. We just got back from taking a family picture, I am so bad I have always taken the kids pictures but never all of the family. I just hated the way I look, but I finally gave up and decided if I dont do it now then I never will, LOL. Well everyone have a great day. Tammy

No such luck...remember this is a small town....heck the movie is finally showing here...how long has it been out? :lol: Did drag dh to it this evening though (only 1 show time/day)....what a great movie...just what I needed!
Did have fun shopping though. Got a few more things bought. My best find......John Deere lego for ds!!!!!! He is just going to jump for joy when he opens this one!!!! I love finding gifts that I know the recipient will love!
