View Full Version : any divorce folks out there?
Since my husband and I are getting divorced, I have felt such a range of emotions. I was just wondering if this is how ya'll may have felt after your divorce? I know that it is getting to be more common for people to be divorced, but I am not familar with it. None of my close friends have been through it. I want to turn this negative time into a positive, but I am not sure how. I am also scared that I will never find true love, I even wonder if there is such a thing? Thank you for all of the responses to my posts in the past, this is a great place to vent. I always feel better after I let my feelings out. Got any advice on how to make it through? I have so many things to handle at this moment, and I am seriously stressed out!!!
Dena, you really seem worried about finding true love. You expressed that several times in your posts. I don't want you to take this the wrong way or think that I'm being cruel, but that should be the last thing on your mind right now. The last thing you need right now is any kind of rebound relationship. Just concentrate on taking care of yourself and healing right now. Divorce takes time to get over (it is very much like a death). give yourself that time.
Love usually happens when you aren't looking for it.

Have you looked to your church? Our church has a wonderful divorce care workshop for those going and gone through a divorce. It also helps with the step-children and dynamics of a blended family when you re-marry.
