I am so tired. My dh has been away for 3 days. I was hoping to get lazy and do nothing, but instead I was working, running dd to tennis and dance, doing errands for Valentines, and I was party mom at dd's school today. I haven't been able to chill at all.
How can I sneak in some rest now?? I am making a fancy dinner for DH then trying to get caught up with laundry.
By the way, during all this DD got lice at school on Friday. I have been combing her hair for hours each day. I am exhausted.

Maybe, with dh home he can help out now?? LOL - not!!

OK I am done whining now!! Thanks for the vent.

Happy Day!!

What is the deal with head lice? Is it pretty common? Do most kids go through having them sometime in school?

Trying to figure out this quoting thing.
I am afraid that lice is very common around here. My dd's school is a "poor school". I told her teacher and have found two others in her class with them. Last year when we got them, I used the pesticides. Not ever again. DD cried and still had them the next day. Now I use an herbal combination and the "Licemiester" comb. Just have to comb morning and night to make sure they are all gone.

It is exhausting!!

Heck, we are in a "rich" school and it went around so bad when ds was in K, I spend almost $600 dealing with it!!! It was just a nightmare!!
So far, and I am probably jinxing myself, we haven't had another outbreak. But we don't share hats, baseball helmuts..nuttin'!!

Beware!! Tis the season. So the school indicates. According to the stores, the shelves are pretty low in the lice treatments. I know cause I was looking for a second comb. Just in case!!

Yikes! I am sure our day will come when my kids hit school! I lucked out when I was growing up and never had to deal with it, but it did go around our school occasionally. I remember having to line up so the school nurse could check everyone.

Head LIce just grosses me out. It goes around our school about twice a year, and so far we haven't gotten it, but I know the odds are high with the hair my dds have.

Kacee, hope you find some "down" time, sounds like you need it!

Thank you for the warm wishes. This day has been just as interesting as the rest. I did go to sleep earlier last night. Still tired today though!!
