Easter Craft Idea Needed

I need an easy, blow your socks off, easter craft idea for a preschool group. something simple, yet spectacular. Christian Faith oriented would be a bonus.

Oriental Trading Company sells a mosaic cross kit...but never thinking to order it in time for when I need to come up with a craft, we decided to just do the same type project out of construction paper. (You can go to their website to look at a picture of it).

I cut out a black construction paper cross -- about 5 x 7 inches; then I gave the kids 1 inch wide strips of various colors of paper from which they could cut out the mosaic pieces and a red heart to fit in the center of the cross. (For younger kids you could have everything already cut out.) The children glued all the pieces down similar to the picture, then we wrote "He Is Risen" in the center of the heart. We laminated them with contact paper and stuck a magnet on the back.
