At the end of January our school will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week. I am the liasion from the School board to help with this week. Our 'day' is Teacher appreciation day.

I guess in the past they've had a meal brought in for the teachers and volunteers supervised the students at lunch.

Other years they've gotten flowers or were given an hour away from their classrooms to go to the coffee shop. (it didn't sound like this was greatly appreciated)

Do you have any ideas? I'd like to think of something they'd really enjoy that may possibly involve the kids' input. I'd really like to show them that we do appreciate everything they do.

Thanks!!

I made neat gifts for the teachers for Christmas presents.....flower pot pens. Have you seen these? Great thing for their desks.

Need....
silk flowers
pens
flower pot
unpopped popcorn or sunflower/bird seeds
floral tape
wire cutters

Cut flowers off stems leaving just enough "stem" to attatch to the pens.
Holding the flower against the pen, start wrapping floral tape down the pen until you reach the bottom. Press the tape firmly into place.
Fill flower pot with popcorn/birdseed and stand the pens in it.
Looks like a pot of flowers, but the pens are handy as can be.

Does that make sense?
I can post a picture for you if you need.
