did we ever wake up to a lot of snow !!!!!

They were calling for a snowstorm last night and into today and Saturday, but I guess I was hoping they were wrong :rolleyes:

So far we have been already hit with about 10-15 cm, and they are calling for more than that :smallsnow

I am happy for the kids because they have been wanting to play in the snow so badly, and I guess it came at a good time because we really don't have to go anywhere today (although I was supposed to have a meeting)

Looks like we're homebound for a little bit today :crazyroll

Work today. Hoping it's calm like yesterday. Might take my Christmas stuff down today, but if not, tomorrow, lol.

Need to go grocery shopping and work out today. Dh is selling all of his military stuff on ebay and its already driving me insane. I'm getting emails from Taiwan and Singapore wondering if I could ship there and accept western union?? Dh has gotten very shy/lazy about gathering information and making things happen. He actually freezes at the thought. Don't make me go into mortgage paperwork, car and house insurance or moving rates either! I swear I'll be hand feeding him baby food in about a week! ROFLMAO!! Thank goodness he doesn't stalk here-he would kill me! hehehee

:yippee: It's FINALLY Friday! Yesterday went by SOOOOOOOO slow, I didn't think the day was ever going to end. LOL Even with having Wednesday off, it seemed like such of a long week.

The sun is shining and although it looks nice outside, is only 14 degrees. Burrrrrr!! Definitely long underwear weather. LOL I think we will be spending most of our day playing in the house today... at least I HOPE we will. It's funny how the cold weather never seems to bother the kids. I remember as a child spending HOURS outside going sledding, building snowmen/forts and having snowball fights with the neighborhood kids... no matter how cold it was. Now I walk out the door... feel the cold, and all I want to do is turn around and go right back in. LOL I've turned into a real wimp... LOL So far we've been lucky (sorry Karla) and haven't gotten any snow yet. I'm sure the kids and the skiers/snowmobilers are wishing for it but I'm definitely not in any hurry. I KNOW it's going to happen... and when it does we'll probably really get dumped on but until then... I'll enjoy not having it. LOL

It's a warm one here so far- 17 degrees! :) I hope it actually warms up unto the 20's, but I'm not sure what the weather is supposed to do today.

I have 2 dck's so far and they are busy with my dks making a fort with the furniture in the dc room. I have 3 school age kids and a 2 year old- easy for me! :) I have 2 more dck's later this afternoon when these 2 leave- so overall a very easy day! :yippee: Monday everyone will be back from the holiday break so I'll take advantage of it while I can! :lol:


I got up and made banana bread for breakfast- so hopefully I can get caught up around here before the timer goes off!

Well today is a stay at home day....DH took my van in to get the windsheild fixed it leaks everywhere.

I sure wish we had snow so the kids go out and play...We are having the warmest winter I have ever seen here. Yesterday it was 5 degrees Cel....I ssure wish it would cool down more and snow...

Not to much else going to finish catching up on my cleaning, and just relax most of my Christmas stuff is taken down just the tree left, I was going to leave it until the 7th but think it will come down tomorrow..I want things back to normal....

I wish we would get some snow. We've been going ice skating but we really want to break out the snowboards. It's very strange to have no snow, not one flake in January.
Ds is driving me nuts, he is so bored I'm looking forward to school starting back up again. Dd threw up last night, I hope the rest of us don't get it. Why do kids always throw up in the middle of the night?
I have to go make my grocery list and menu for next week.

I spent the whole day cleaning out drawers and closets in ds's room and the guest room. I carried out 6 bags of trash and 3 bags of clothes to be given away. Honestly it was a nightmare at the amount of trash I found. I'm hoping to tackle my closet tomorrow.

Dh came home early today after going to the doctor. He has an ear infection and is sleeping on the couch right now. Ds had a bad cough this morning. That would be just great for him to get sick just as we head back to school. I'm battling a headache right now, probably from all the dust from the closets.

Well, I have been in classes from 9-4 yesterday and today and I have one tomorrow at the same time. I start student teaching on Monday, but it is still a teacher work day, so I think my directing teacher will tell me to go home.

Our weather got pretty cold today and it is supposed to get colder tomorrow, so I am going to go through my closet and try and find something warm to wear.

Funny, my mom has poodles and she always get them groomed pretty short even in the winter and then puts sweaters on them. They wear them all winter.

It's been a long day!! It doesn't help that I'm fighting a cough and sore throat. The worst part is the cough is at that dry stage where I get coughing attacks and feel like I either can't breathe or I'm gonna gag!

Took down the tree after lunch today. I got on here for a few minutes and them BIL and nephew showed up. We visited with them until 4:30 and then I worked on supper.

Dh bowled tonight. I went along and the cigarette smoke about did me in. Think I need to go take a "vapor" bath with the stuff they recommend for children. Probably isn't potent enough!

Only 2 days of vacation left then maybe I can get my house back in order!
