View Full Version : Back from the Dentist
well, I have always been a really good girl...go to the dentist every six months....well except while we lived in CNY...I went once in two years......now that we have dental again...just went....had a cleaning and xrays....I feel so fresh and minty...Dr. said I have great teeth.....and a nice smile.....
Got dh an appointment for Monday...he also got a script, since he has heart prob...and still takes Anit Coulagulants....he gets Anit biotics before dental work....
My family dental problems are finally solved....:)

Great news!! :D I need to get dh and I in. I tend to like to do things on the spur of the moment though and hate waiting months to get in at the dentist.

Hey there!! I just made a dentist appt. It has been years since I have been. I used to be really good about going each year but then I really slacked off. I have to be on antibiotics when I go to the dentist too. Good old heart murmurs....gotta love em!
Glad you had a good checkup. I am sure I have a cavity. I am scared to death!!!
I missed my appointment in June so now it's been a year since I've been. I really need to make an appt. I've always gone in June and during Christmas break so as not to miss any work. If I called now, it would probably be Spring Break before I could get in.

It takes forever to get into the dentist here and they rarely have afterschool/after work appointments open.
I was forced to go a couple years ago when I had a tooth that had broke off. I hadn't been in since I was just starting college (a good 10 years or more). Last year I went back for another bad tooth and they basically made me make another appointment for a thorough cleaning and exam. I had a couple fillings and was supposed to go back. Dh was going at the same time and combined our bills were over $1000. Since my appointment conflicted with my work schedule I cancelled and never went back. Someday if I get this business going (and get our bill paid off! 8o ) I'll go back and have it all done.

Renee, glad to hear that everything went well with your check-up :D
We are pretty regular with our appointments, especially because our dentist is dh's uncle ;) :)
Wow, about the cost Linda. We have great dental insurance and don't pay a cent for any preventative care that includes cleaning and checkup 2x a year and a full set of x-rays once a year. I've only had 1 little cavity my whole life. Ds has had 3. the biggest expense we've had was when ds had to have 12 teeth pulled because they did not come out on their own and the permanent teeth were coming in. That was $60 a tooth.
