It's a cold day here today. High is supposed to be 9 today- it's 8 degrees right now with a low of -11. 8o I don't know it that means we are almost at our high and it's just suppose to get colder as the day goes on or what. I sure can't wait for spring! I think since I only have 3 dck's I'll drive my dks to and from school if they want me to.

I'm looking forward to my dck's getting here and getting back into a routine. Ds only has 3 weeks of basketball left and I'll be happy when it's over! Nothing planned for tonight except for b-ball practice and "Joe Millionaire" starts tonight...

Where is everyone???

Welcome back both Kacee and Vea.

Regular Monday here. Work today, volunteer shift tonight. DH is away ice fishing so I'll have to see what ds wants to do tonight, whether he stays home for the 2 hours or go to my Dad's. Hopefully he doesn't have too much homework :o)

Didn't even realize you were gone Kacee!! LOL Where did you go?

I'm so happy to be on a regular schedule again! I might actually clean up the house. LOL Yesterday we went to a place called wag-n-wash. It is a do-it-yourself dog grooming place in Colorado Springs. For $13.50, we got to scrub down our 100lb dog with multi-bottles of premium oatmeal shampoo, creme rinse, mink oil and cologne (called "unleashed" ROFL). They supplied the towels, combs, power dryers and anything else we asked for. We were so delighted with this whole concept and they built everything so you didn't have to stoop over. Can't believe we found this one month before moving. LOL That is the extent of my excitement around here. Pretty pathetic huh? ROFL

Dd got up and went back to school today. Actually... she started back last Thursday. I'm happy to have everything pretty much back to normal around here. Tv is even back to normal (I think) and hopefully there will be no more rerun's for a while. Grocery shopping tonight after work then I'm looking forward to sitting down and watching a whole new Boston Public...

Right now I'm trying to think of something quick/easy to make for supper... I'm feeling lazy today and not wanting to make anything too big and extravagant. Any ideas?

Anyway... hope you all have a great day today. Take care...

Nothing on my agenda today other than running ds to school and then stopping at the post office. Pretty exciting, huh? LOL! I actually don't dare stop anywhere else - I have been on a spending spree and I need to stop! :\

Amy - COOL dog place!! 8o I have never heard of anything like that before!!

9:00... "early"??? LOL What time do they normally get up on a school morning? Dd #3 barly climbed out of bed before 12:00 during the time she was off from school. Needless to say, she had one heck of a time last week when she had to go back.

How's your dad been doing? I hope you all have a good dinner together. :)

He's doing better than me..got all his thank you notes written, and I can't even focus.
Well, it's early compared to what time they have been getting up...11 for dd and 1 for ds. They will have to get up at 7 tomorrow.

Well, I am glad almost everything is back to normal here also!!! Since I work at a daycare I was really glad that there wasnt a delay today for school, it was really snowing here last night. But school was on time, the roads were a little slick we have gotten about 8 inches or more, seems like more, of snow since Christmas. Well just home for lunch thought I would catch up a little of what is going on. Everyone have a great day.

It sounds like he's doing much better than my dad would have been without my mom. He was so helpless and totally depended upon her for everything. I'm sorry that you're having such of a hard time... but it really hasn't been that long yet... and things will start to get better for you soon. (((HUGS)))

Good luck getting the kids up... I have a feeling it's going to be pretty hard for them to get up so early after being able to sleep in so late. LOL

I got up early today and straightened up everything I didn't do last night. Woke ds up and he was fine, took a shower, took one bite of breakfast and then said he had to throw up. He never did but he felt sick and weak. By noon he was sliding down the bannister. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

I've feel I've accomplished alot today and I have a stuffed turkey roasting in the oven....smells yummy! Brichard left early for a work out before his first day on the job. He was pumped!!

Amy - You should open one of those dog grooming places when you get moved!!

(((AnnW))) You're still in my prayers!

I don't think I could own a business. I like to punch in and punch out of work and leave the rest behind. :) I don't like the idea of paying business start up costs and bills and all the other headaches. Watch me now open my own store in a couple of years. ROFL

I just did a search and they have one in Rochester! Dh wants to build our own dog bath in the basement, but this place will do until then!

very cool.....

Having a big dog isn't always easy...

we had a dog wash in our old house in CNY...the previous owners used to raise dogs there...we only used it once though....

Amy/CO, I hate to bust your great finding, but click on this http://www.frontiernet.net/~dagstuff/rubadub/hours.htm
It says that they closed down on May 8, 2002, unless you find somewhere else on the site where someone else has taken over ownership.

I had a pretty good day today. I went in to work this morning. It was a teacher work day. After I got home, dh and I went out to eat with my parents and then we went to Valdosta. I got two workout tapes that I plan on starting to work out to each day. I have to teach my first lesson on Wed. Tomorrow will be an observation day, and then I will begin teaching. I have to come up with a format that I plan to use to make out all my lessons tonight. It won't be that hard though.

Hope everyone has a good evening!

ROFL!! When I first glanced at it, I thought they were just closing for that day in order to transfer ownership. Bummer!! Better wash the dog again here before we leave!! LOL

Amy, what a neat idea for dog owners. I think I would go for that even with my little 10 pound dog. She does not like going to the groomers and has really become more aggressive since we've had to board her there a couple of times. She doesn't like it alot more when I do it at home, but at least I know I take my time, talk to her the whole time and try not to traumatize her.

Leigh, what grade(s) will you be teaching. When I did my ST I did 3rd and K. Now they encourage you to just do one grade the whole semester. Good luck.

Pretty good day back. No one was coughing, one was absent and only one said, "I'm sick today". Then why didn't you stay home, we'll never get well if you don't keep your germs at home. Then at 2:00 I get the news I'm getting a new student tomorrow. At least I'll be prepared. Nothing worse than a new student sprung on you on a Monday morning. Twins. Don't know if I'm getting the girl or the boy. Hoping for the boy. I'm overloaded with girls and that really ties up their restroom. Then they think it's a fate worse than death if I tell them to go ahead and use the boy's restroom when the boys are done. Need to get my report cards done since I didn't do them over the break. They go out on Monday.

Ds said he had all A's & B's. His teachers all told him his grades before he acutally gets his report. His new year's resolution is to make all A's the rest of the year, because as he told our youth minister, "I'm capable". He's made all A's most of the time, but seemed to slack off some this year. Got one C last quarter by one percentage point. I was not happy about it either. Linda, I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. My boys are total opposites. Youngest has always done great, oldest is every bit as capable he just never had the drive to excell in school. He was happy with poor grades and no amount of pep talking, scolding, tutoring, taking away priviledges changed it. He was just not interested in school.

Typical Monday here..All I planned to do, didnt get done.

It was a very lazy day, I felt really tired all day, even though they baby slept last night from 11:30-6am.

Besides fighting with DS#1 to get ready for school. DH car broke down today, He thinks that it is done for good now. It is over 20 years old adn the engine in it has been re built once already. We really cant afford this right now. I want to move so bad. So I guess we are going to struggle being a one vehicle family for awhile. This will be touhg since I need it for daycare and to take DS#2 to hockey...

Hopefully I have a better day tomorrow.
