Karla and Darlene, Thanks for asking!

The bank search is still on. The neighboring bank I went to last Friday declined because they loaned money to a daycare there a while back and it folded. They're kind of sour on daycare loans right now. (I don't know WHO owned the daycare, but from what I'd heard they didn't plan before opening, they just opened and expected to make money. They didn't have a business plan or management skills.)

Dh called a bank in another neighboring town where we had a cattle loan a long time ago. They sounded pretty interested and we meet with them next Tuesday. If we have everything they need we should have an answer in 48 hrs. (Thursday!)

There is one other bank we will check with if this one doesn't work. IF that fails we'll try through a mortgage company.

We got a letter from our bank today stating that they couldn't approve our loan because our credit scores weren't high enough for their bank underwriting. Really torks me that they didn't pull reports a couple months ago when we were in there. Real un-professional way to handle it in my opinion! :{

I'm about ready to start putting up flyers that I will do back-up/ sick child daycare until we know something for sure. Chicken pox have been going around since Thanksgiving. Since all my kids have had that it wouldn't be harmful to watch those kids. What do ya think??

The back-up dc idea sounds good. I knew a gal who did over-night daycare and I think she made more $$ for having kids during those "off" hours. Good luck, Linda!!
