Just got back from helping with the elementary school post office...that's always fun to watch the kids to the mail. Got all my notes from the funeral written yesterday. Supposed to go to the theater tonite to see Blast, but thinking about giving the tickets away.

Ann -

How do y'all do your post office??? Is it sponsored by the PTO???

We currently don't have one, but I think it would be a great idea.

One year, the school did do something for Valentines day. Where the students could send each other valentines, but this was done for a fee!!! (money maker type thing!!)

( I think we are the only ones here this morning. I keep hoping for an excuse not to jump to the housecleaning stuff!!! )

Morning...well I am home again today....going to wait for the Dish guy again...they are waving 1/2 our service call and we are getting a months free service because of thier screw up....but still...I feel like a hostage sitting here from 12-5....AGAIN

getting ds ready for school has become a battle...he would love to walk to the bus alone...I think he is capable...I think he would do fine...but at the bus stop thier are lots of older kids...6th graders...and they are rowdy and pushy....I am not ready yet...so he has to wait...and he is ticked at me because of this....;(

dd is whiney this morning....well heck, so am I...LOL....like mother like daughter right....;) I can finally feel the antibiotics working...don't feel so achy and sore this morning....

Got a really busy weekend ahead...still need to pick up a wedding gift and wrap it...need two birthday cards....giving my brother lottery tickets....its his 40th birthday today and we will all be going out for dinner tommorrow should be fun...

Off to the bus....see you later...cuz I am not going anywhere... :)

Kacee........It's not funded by the PTA, but it is a job under the PTA. It's set up like a real post office..the kids have to address the letters correctly, put our school stamps on them. Mail is delivered one day a week, each class gets one day. The check the mail for correct address/postage, sort and then deliver the mail..it takes about 45 minutes.

He might have, but it just wasn't negotiable. It helped too by the time he got old enough to complain, dd was on the bus and too young to walk by herself. DD doesn't go down by herself now (she doesn't like to)..btw the stop is 3 houses down, not even at the corner! LOL

It's another usual day around here. Dc all day and nothing really planned for tonight. I need to go grocery shopping, so I might go tonight and get it over and done with. Exciting, huh?

No plans for the weekend except for the normal cleaning and laundry. Does anyone else have any exciting plans?

TGIF!!! I'm sure glad it's the weekend, I'm tired from working the last 8 out of 9 days and Wednesday was tiring for me emotionally and physically, even though I had the day off.

Think I'll make some kind of pasta tonight and stay in and watch this new show called Queens Supreme.

Actually good afternoon...wow...I slept until 11:308o

Nothing planned today...just some organizing of my life...that should take a year....LOL.

Need to get the Resumes out this weeekend....Do you guys use regular paper or special paper? Can't decide what I should use. Everyone tells me something different.

Hello!
Can't even remember when I was here last!

So much going on. Still plugging at the preschool (see the Linda/NE post).

I about had a heart attack yesterday. I was checking our bank statement on line and it showed $2000 deducted from our account which majorly overdrafted us. I called the bank and they got right on it. I had visions of some company taking it and it taking months to get it figured out. Plus dh's paychecks are auto-deposited so I feared we'd lose his pay. Luckily they returned it. As it turned out someone in the main branch was doing a deduction from a savings account (with the same acct. number as our checking acct.) and they put the wrong code in. They reversed all the NSF charges and all is well now, but it was scary there for a while.

I've been feeling pretty run down lately too. My cycle hasn't been normal for a long time so the doctor put me on Provera to "reset the clock". She told me it would probably be heavy but I never expected this at all!! 8o 8o I've had to change every 1-2 hours. She put me on iron too since I'm losing so much blood. I sure hope this works so I don't have to be on this again!

I need to clean up the kitchen, fold some laundry and work on some homework.

Bowling tonite. Knights of Columbus free throw shoot tomorrow for the boys. Not much else going on for the weekend.

Have a good one!! :)

Definitely 'special' paper. Most copy shops carry a wide variety and can help you decide. I think the extra little $$ is well worth it. :)

Vea, I just had some done for dh and I got them done a white linen paper.... had them done at Office Max and the copies didn't cost any more than regular ones.

That's a good Idea I was thinking of gettting the Ivory Parchment paper. Did you have to buy the paper first then pay for copies?
