I just finished 3 loads. I was wondering "Do you fold each individual load as they are dry or do you let them pile up and then fold them all together???"
I would love so tips for getting it done quickly.

I fold them after each load while they're still hot so the wrinkles don't set in. :) I hate it when the load is done and I'm too busy doing something else... then I end up throwing them back in the dryer for a while to get the wrinkles back out again. I hate it when the laundry piles up. :(
Diane...
I fold as soon as its out of the dryer...then it all gets put away...I detest laundry that lingers....
Funny you should ask, I just came from the laundry room.
I wash and dry it all, then put it away. I do pull the outerwear and drape it over the basket so it doesn't wrinkle.
I do laundry on mon wed and fri then put it on our bed each of those days so we can't go to bed until the stuff is put away.

I like the idea of putting it on the bed!! :thumb: Are you ever tempted to just set it on the floor or dresser at bedtime if the day got away from you? :crazyroll I hate putting away laundry, so that's probably what I would do.

Oh yeah...but it would drive my wife nuts.
I try to at least get it into destination piles and laid out flat (the wrinkle thing). Girls' room, babies' room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. That way if it doesn't get put away, I don't catch too much heat and I get help putting it away.

I fold each load as it comes out of the dryer. Then I take the baskets up to my room where I sort the laundry. Everyone is responsible for putting their own clothes away.

I try to fold it as I go...unless it's late at night then I leave it until the next day...lol..which then turns into 2 or 3 day!

I don't do the folding. I do the washing and the kids do the folding/hanging. Then they put away their own clothes (with prompting) and set mine and DH's on our bed. All of the communal stuff (towels ect) they pack away. We hang all of the shirts including T-shirts to make things alittle easier. Underwear, rags, and kitchen washclothes don't get folded just put in their drawers.

I fold as I take it out of the dryer. But like Lynda, I tend to hang more than I fold.... way faster and easier! I could never work at the Gap!

Ugh...my least favorite chore!!! Sadly, I wait until it's done...and then fold it. I do pull things out that wrinkle easily, though. I DETEST putting it away...and have started to have dks put some of their own away. I, too, put it on the bed for exactly the reason that Jeff mentioned...then I HAVE to put it away before bed! LOL

Thanks for the ideas!!!! I currently wait to fold till I have a huge mountain. Then I put on the TV and fold usually with Oprah.
I also let everyone put away their own clothes. DD usually just moves hers off the bed.. GGGRRRRR!!! I guess I have not explained what I want her to do. Nor reinforced it.

My parents had a clothing store while I was growing up. I worked there for years, so folding comes very quick for me.

That's good that it was ingrained in you early on! Wish that had happened for me!
