Morning. Cold here..only 32! May get down into the 20's this week...brrrrr!
Didn't sleep well, my brother called at 11 forgetting the time difference in CA and scared me to death, then I couldn't go back to sleep till 2..was very tempted to call him at 1 and say "hey, ready to chat now"! LOL
not much on today, got an electrician coming to do some work (adding some plugs, fixing some stuff). Gonna rearrange the kids play room.

can't even imagine that..but you at least have the clothes for it...i don't even think my ski clothes go down that cold!! LOL

-23 sure sounds cold, and it is, but Ann, it would only be probably -10 in Fahrenheit...can you handle that?

Well nothing to exciting planned today...Just a dentist appointment and some yelling at the University about our grades still not being in. My friend and I are going up there tomorrow to yell in person. I mean classes start next wednesday! This is rediculas.

Anyway...we went to the movies lastnight and saw Gangs of NewYork...Not recommended unless you want to see alot of blood and guts. Definately not what I was expecting.

I'm up and ready to go. I looked at my calender this morning and forgot that I had two extra dck's coming today- just for about an hour each. One mom has a dentist appt and the other has a dr appt. Sure glad they weren't coming early this morning or I might have forgot!

Ds has b-ball tonight- only one more week! :yippee: I can't wait for it to be over and neither can he. He's such a trooper. He hasn't liked it much since the very beginning, but has never once asked to quit- he's sticking it out for the season. :) I'm proud of him. He actually likes the practices, just hates the games.

I've only got four kids today so it will be a nice/quiet day for me today. The County Nurse will be coming at 11:00 to do a weigh-in on the baby I care for. He's very tiney/fragile... 4 months old (he's my Down's baby) and the highest weight he's had so far has been 10.5 pounds. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's gained, or at least maintained... and not lost any. I'm anxious for the weigh-in. :)

Grocery shopping tonight with my mom. I'm going to try to stop and do some errands after I drop her off and hopefully be home at 7:00 in time for my shows to start. It's ZERO here today... with a high of only 10. Burrrrrrrrrrr! 8o I can't believe it's the middle of January and we've still had no snow. :yippee: I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get dumped on. I know this won't last forever but were all enjoying it while it lasts.

My oldest dd was over yesterday making copies of some of her wedding pictures and I actually convinced her to leave all of them here so I'll be posting a bunch of new ones in the photo album... so if you're interested take a look. :) Anyway... hope you all have a good day!

had the landlord here at 8:00 am, having an estimate on the fences that fell down...wonder what he will do....

dh went to the dentist...ds is off to school...dd is playing Barbies...I have to hit the tredmill...getting really excited about our trip next weekend.....I can't believe dh and I have never been alone for that long in 7 years....8o I have to get some errands run this week before we go....but I can handle it....:)

might run my butt into work for a couple hours...they are running a skeleton crew...so...I might be actually needed....

Cool day here. It may get into the 50's though. Tomorrow it's supposed to get colder and possibly snow on Wednesday and Thursday.

Dh is home sick today. Think he has sinus infection. He'll probably go to work after he goes to the doctor.

We have been with out a phone since Saturday afternoon. Dh was putting in a post on the dog pen in the back yard and the post split a phone wire under ground. 8o They just got it fixed a couple hours ago.

Need to leave here in a few minutes so dh can go to the doctor and I can make copies of everything for our meeting at the bank tomorrow. I have to pick up ds at noon too.

Ds #1 has a ball game tonight that I'll probably just go myself. I may even be taking some of the team.

Other than that, not much going on.

Hi there,

Not much today. Just going to stay home and do laundry and relax. I feel so tired and dont know why. Got sleep last night. DS#3 slept from 11:00-4:00 then he fell back to sleep at 4:20.

I got up at 7 to get DS#1 ready for school. Dont have dck's till Wednesday, I have almost 3 weeks off so it will be hard to get back into the swing of things.

Cold here today -15C...We even got a dump of snow yesterday so the kids were happy and played outside for over 2 hours.

Nothing else really going on DH works today and tonight so it is just DK's and I..

Jen, my youngest didn't like playing b-ball either. Liked practice, but got upset when others would choose horseplay instead of running the actual plays. At games he said he didn't like all the people yelling at him. Fans around here do tend to get carried away.

School board meeting at 5:30, ladies fellowship and secret sister reveal tonight. I may have to forgo the SB meeting since they can last forever.

It is so cold here today, having an Alberta Clipper here they say!!! Brrrrrr. The wind is right off the water brrrrrr.

Do any of you have Girl Scouts? We started selling cookies this weekend. I'm thinking it would make a lot more sense to sell them in March or April. It is so cold out right now the girls can't walk around and sell the cookies. This weekends high was 20!!! And people have just gotten their xmas bills and New Years Resolutions to loose weight.

Linda - we start selling next week..... sorry ya'll have to be out in the freezing cold. One way to avoid it - send the order form to work w/mom and dad!!! :)
As far as bills/resloutions - there will always be an excuse. If you sell in March/April - tax season is looming.... and so on and so on.
I'm thinking this is a better time - b/c for peanut sales being right after school starts, everyone and their brother is selling something - hard to compete and hard to keep hitting people up for $$$$. Good luck with the sale!! What do your girls want to do w/their money??

Our girls decided to ask each "customer" to purchase an additional box (or it may be the only box they buy) to donate to the local firehouse..... I can't wait to have the girls deliver those cookies! :)

Went to school this morning to help w/reading groups, went to work for a bit, home to throw in laundry, now dd and a friend are playing - soon, it'll be dinner, homework and bath.

Youngest ds wasn't feeling great this morning (sore throat, stuffy nose etc). Convinced him to go to school and if he wasn't feeling well he could call me. Came bouncing home after school asking if he could go to a friends house ?( I guess he's feeling better ;)

It is absolutely freezing here today (maybe I should move south ). Supposed to go to a school council meeting tonight; I'll see if I make it there or not :rolleyes:

Dd came home at noon not feeling well. She seems to be better now.
Ds has a hockey game at 5:30....better get some supper in him!

I HATE Winter!!! Okay, that's not news to anyone, but it just needed to be said again. I got stuck over the weekend by a snow storm. (RCT- You would have loved the 23" they got up at your old house! 8o ) Now, I'll admit there are worse places to be stuck and worse company for an impromptu vacation ;), but I hate the fact that it was pretty much out of my control. ARRGH! (Maybe I really do need to have my way all the time! Dds swear I always get what I want. :rolleyes: )

Today is work as usual, but they said we're getting another storm overnight. I think a snow day would cause a big improvement in the attitudes of all my dds. I hope it works out for them. I'd have to go in anyway, but it would give me a chance to get some work done and meet with the teachers and do a little problem solving.
