DH is trying to loose weight he's down to 211 now and is very good at doing the treadmill most nights. But he has to drag me onto it. I'm doing it just to get more energy and once I'm on it for 10 minutes with my headphones on I love it but getting me there is hard.

When DH is down to 200 were going to start weights and other exercises (crunches....) together.

We're going to CA to visit his family in July so thats his motivation want's to look good for his family.

So I was wondering if your spouses are trying to get into shape with you all or not to keep you going?

One of the reasons why I wanted a treadmill was in hopes that dh would use it too. He isn't really overweight..maybe 10 lbs but he doesn't exercise and that is not good.
I will say I have kind of lost my motivation since my mom died..she did everything you are supposed to and still died young. BUT, vanity is probably my biggest motivator..sometimes it's good being so shallow! LOL

I honestly have to say that everyone here motivates me. When I see that you are all exercising, I put on my shoes and workout.

Thanks to everyone :)

My motivation is myself and like Ann, my vanity. I was sick of how I looked so I'm losing this weight for me, no one else, so I am the one motivating myself.

Dh has always been a runner - so that's his thing. We've tried running together and I hate it and he doesn't have the coordination to do Tae-Bo... so we're doing our own thing. :)

I am my own motivator too. Brichard does help me, but isn't the reason I am losing weight.
