MM! ok I promised I wouldn't complain but I CAN'T TAKE IT ANOTHER MINUTE!!!!!

The masons are jackhammering the walls in the new schoolroom today because they forgot to lay the pipes for the electricians and they already filled the walls with cement !!!!!!!

I now know there's a reason those men wear funny looking earmuffs in the movies. The sound is reverberating throughout my house and the adjacent walls are shaking slightly. I hope this is completed as swiftly as Hermes flies. LoL

Thanks for letting me vent ! ßß!

Hi Arianna... Too bad they didn't share some of those funny looking earmuffs with you... sounds as if you could have used a pair. LOL Hopefully it won't take them very long to get it done and you won't have to listen to it too much longer. :)

Cool about the schoolroom... how big is it going to be? I'd LOVE to be able to add on something like that but my yard is too small for any kind of an addition. :( Take care...

Bye...

you've got my sympathy!! That would be driving me crazy too. And you just thought those little ear muffs were a wonderful fashion accesory!! :)

So nice to see you posting again. I have wondered how life was treating you. WB

MM! The schoolroom is 14'x14' and is just off the kitchen. It's going to be a tutoring center for me as well. If you remember I was working (before we left stateside) in a private tutoring center. I also received students in my home in the evening. This will provide the boys with a formal setting and me with a formal center.

The center will open in August when classes resume. I will offer tutoring in English and computer basics to children k-12 and adults.

The children mainly need homework help but the adults are very interested in conversational English. I purchased a program to teach ESL and beginning reading.

We have a pretty extensive library here at home thanks to yard ales and flea market finds. I was a regular at our local Barnes and Noble in NJ. I'm proud to admit I'm a book fanatic :-).

I hope to purchase a new PC by then too. I am having a dedicated electric line installed in the new schoolroom. We also bought a new 7500-watt generator that needs to be connected. I will not be in the dark again. lol
Life's (other than the jackhammer) good.

Being away from my home made me realize how fortune I am to be able to stay at home with my children and how privileged I am to be a stay at home mom. I am graciously enjoying and appreciating everyday.

ßß!

It IS quite a blessing to be home with our kids, isn't it!

The school room sounds fantastic! Maybe have school down at the beach today to get away from the noise.
Good luck.

I sympathize. I don't think that I could stand all that noise either. I hope things hurry back to normal for you.

Wow... I'm envious... all your plans sound great. The generator is a good idea too... I bought one two years ago after having been without electricity for 3 days. Ugh!!! I definitely wouldn't want to repeat those 3 days! :) I haven't needed to use it since... but knowing I have it "just in case", is a good feeling. When is it suppose to be done???

bye...
