Trudging Through Lots of Messages

How do you all get though messages when you haven't been here for several days.

I went through all the areas except the general discussion and worked my way up. Think that would take forever for the general area.

Is there a way to do a wildcard search and pull up the posts that you want by the dates you need. I ahve not found a way to do this without searching on someones name or a partial topic.

I just click on view new posts...pick the ones I want to read and then the next time I come on, I click view new posts and it's only the most recent ones.

That is how I have it set when I come to the boards, but it only works for me if I have enough time to respond to all the messages I want to respond to. Otherwise I can't pull the other threads back up unless someone has posted between the times I was at the board. Is this how it works for you or am I doing something wrong?

No, that's how it works for me too. If I find I have time later, I might pull up the chit chat forum and see what I might have missed. I don't do that too often, if I have been out of town, I will just skip some...I know, hard to believe that I don't read every post! LOL ;)
