Ratio questions

Dh asked me a question tonight and obviously it's too late to get a hold of the licensing agency.

In Nebraska the ratios fro daycare centers are
18 mos up to 3 yrs.--1 adult 6 kids
3 years 1 adult to 10 kids
4,& 5 years 1 adult to 12 kids.

So I will have the capacity in the daycare for 10 kids. How would my ratio for 1 adult change if I had 1- two year old in a group of 3's? Would it drop to 1 adult to 6 kids? This will be licensed as a center not a family care home.

In Ct and I believe also in NY. yes....If you have a younger child in the group you are supposed to go by the lowest age ration.

We would have to do that when we combined the classes at the end of the nights.

Our Ratios in CT were also lower 6 months to 3 years 1:4. 3-5 years was 1:10 ratio.
