View Full Version : Simone - the movie
Anyone seen this movie. We saw it tonight. I thought it was pretty cool. The thing that blew me away was that I never got the impression or had the thought that she was real. Afterwards I started thinking about it and it hit me -- woah...
is this the movie with Al Pacino? I almost rented it....guess I need to go back...and get it...worth the rental huh?

but....did you ever think she was real??
It just hit me as really cool that it never occurred to me that she is actually just an actor playing the part of someone who doesn't exist. Its wild that in the movie that Pacino had to convince the cast that computer animation was a real life person while the director of the movie had to do just the opposite and convince us that the real life actor was just computer animation. I think the movie could have been the worst movie ever and I would have given it high marks if it could have pulled off that feat.
Also it was kindof neat that everyone thought that pacino was riding on Simone's coat tails and towards the end Pacino was convinced of the same, yet he is the one who created her. He was the mastermind of who she was, but not even he could see that.
LOL, that was my first question to dh, as they introduced her....oh I wonder who she is? actress unknown....never really thought she might actually be computer generated...LOL..
