View Full Version : Buying a Car
We've been without two vehicles for close to 4 months now. It hasn't been bad, but I think I am getting the itch to go ahead and replace the one that was totalled. Anyone car to share cars they really like (or dislike) and why you like them?

LOVE our Toyota Camry (1997) -- smooth ride, plenty of room (however, there are only 3 of us). :)
Have had our Nissan Altima for a year now (the 2002) and have loved it. Much heavier than the Toyota and so quick (even tho it's the 4 cyl.) Good mileage - looks great - :) - and rides great.
Hated the 2002 Honda Accords - they have not changed their interior in the last 12 years! lol Pick up is slow, etc.
Drove the Passat - too tight for us.
Good luck! What are you leaning towards?

Are you looking specifically for a car? If so, I am no help. We have an Explorer and a van. We really like both and LOVE that the van has the passenger sliding door. :*
SUV's all the way baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry no help here we are looking to get a new car in July.
dh has 92 honda accord with 143,000 miles
I have a chevy S-10 pickup with 203,000 miles.
Yup I drive the kids around and I get the truck with the bench seat? Really fun when we go grocery shopping.
We are a truck family here. Don't think we'd ever own a "car" again. Only trucks or SUV's in this family from now on. :)

Not necessarily...
I'm with Ann. SUV. I have loved Explorers and have owned 3. Last year we went with an Expedition. I like it too, but it's like backing up a tank. If we should trade I'll go back to an Explorer with 3rd row seating.
I love our Toyota Corolla (have the Tercel too, but love the Corolla). I want our next vehicle to be an SUV too...we'll see.

No help from me either... we've owned a van for years now (it's got WAY over 200,000 miles on it) and it's still running like it did the day we bought it. Dd #2 just bought a Saturn and loves it... Good luck finding something that you like. I couldn't imagine not having two vehicles. LOL
