At Christmas we took the tubes and put candy inside. Wrapped them with colored celophane and tied both ends. I saw this idea on HGTV.
Attach strips of colored tissue and make dance streamers or wind socks. Cover them with tissue to make cocoons. There are about a million ways to use them, but whatever I think of, the kids come up with more. I like to just leave them out on my art shelf sometimes.

We glued two together and wrapped a piece of construction paper around them, used them as binoculars. We put stickers all over the paper too.

We wrapped it with pretty paper, and then stuck a wad of aluminum foil on top and made a microphone.

Toilet paper roll ideas...tape two together to make binoculars...staple one end closed over popsicle stick and fill with beans, rice etc. then staple other end shut to make a musical instrument...use outside to blow bubbles give each child their own and let them dip in bubble solutins...play "I Spy" inside and outside using the rolls as telescopes...

Musical shaker: put rice or beans in and tape shut. Decorate with tissue paper, paint, stickers etc.
Jack be Nimble Candlestick: Decorate tube then staple red/orange construction paper or tissue paper to be the flame. Have the children take turns jumping over it and be Jack be Nimble.
Bunny Ears. : Take 2 tubes per child. Paint white or brown (bunny color) then glue pink tissue paper in the center or wait until it dries and paint pink centers. Using a hole punch put holes in the bottom and attach to a headband or just string. Use scissors to round the tops to make it look more like bunny ears.
Bowling pins - cut out a theme related picture or drawing and attach to the toilet paper tubes to make bowling pins.
