I watched Sorority Life and Fraternity Life on MTV this wknd and last night. 8o Some of those pledges seem so miserable (so why do it?) and the Sisters so demanding. Was anyone in a sorority and is this a realistic portrayal?

I was, and I just watch that show in shock! Yes, girls can get bitchy and any system that has to "cut" people can be unfair, but we weren't slutty or cruel like these girls seem. I keep thinking as I watch this show "I am REALLY getting old" LOL

Me too - aging quicker than I thought! :bawling: :lol: Dh and I can't stop commenting when we watch these 2 shows. LOL!

I can't imagine living with that many girls in one house, :crazyroll although I did live with a house of 5 girls for a while ~ we never really had any issues. Then, 4 of us shared an apt for a couple of years and by the end of that time we had all had our share of petty catty tiffs. :rolleyes: One of my best college living experiences was living with 2 guy friends! :D

I haven't really watched much of the show cause it was just so far removed from my experience.

It's alot like living in a dorm.

It does seem pretty dramatic, but then again it is tv so I'm sure there's lots edited out and focused on to make it more 'interesting' :rolleyes: - although they can't fake the cattiness. :lol:

Okay - dorm life I can handle. LOL!

I wasn't in a sorority...didn't have them at my college. I can't believe I'm admitting this...but I've watched it too! :lol: My dh came into the room when I had it on last night and said, "Are you really watching this?" Kind of funny!

LOL! I know - can't believe I have spent more than 5 minutes of my time on that show, but curiousity got the best of me once again and once I got dh 'hooked' we had fun uh er ummm I mean it was tough work analyzing all of them. ;) :lol:
