I have been doing after school daycare for almost three years. In the town I am in there are several daycares, although none are willing to share field trip ideas and theme weeks with me. I have plenty of my own to share with whomever asks, but I cannot find anyone with which wants to share some of thier original ideas. Please reply if you are even the slightest bit interested, as I have much to share! :) :snickers:

I am in the process of opening a preschool and daycare center which will offer an afterschool and summer program for school age kids. I don't have a lot of ideas yet, but I'd love to hear what you do!!

That's pretty sad that no one wants to share. Maybe their ideas suck and they are just embarrassed ;)
This summer we have been traveling around the globe. Visiting a different country every week. it's been super fun. We talk about families, traditions, touch on religions, games the kids play, etc. We also do an art or craft project each day from that country. This week we are visiting Brazil!

.....I thought the same as you, MaryL, but I think it's the other daycares that aren't generous. We don't have a lot of school age providers, do we? Not center-based anyway.
