I lost the pound I gained last week, so I guess I'm back on track. I still need to make some modifications in the way I eat. In particular drinking water continues to be my biggest negative. I do great in the morning and at night, but I need to do a better job of drinking water at work.
My exercise was good last week. I didn't do an 8-mile outdoor run like I would have hoped, but it was way too cold for me to run outside. I did inrease to about 6.6 mph on the treadmill. I'll go for 6.7 mph on my next run. I didn't get in this morning, but I brought stuff so I can go at lunch time.
I find myself at one of those difficult times. I think the hardest thing to do is to know how much and what you can eat to lose, maintain, and gain. I don't think the difference between the three is all that great. A few apples plus or minus per day could be the difference between the three.
It is not all about eating healthy either. One can eat the healthiest foods in the world, but you have to eat the right amount. And when you do cheat, ie, I had a mexican Chimichanga this last Saturday, what does one have to do to "reconcile" the difference?
I think once I start drinking water again and I start watching my portions a little more I'll be fine. I'm not that far away from where I want to be, but I stalled the last time I was in this weight range (193 last year) and just became content with it. I don't look bad where I am at, but I look and feel much better at 180. I will make it this year.... slowly but surely!
How is everybody else doing? Lots of people who originally posted aren't on here anymore. Jeff... what's up?
