No... I'm sorry to say that he hasn't returned home yet... :bawling: Needless to say, were a pretty sad group around here today. I walked and walked looking for him last night but saw no signs of him anywhere. I called the pet clinic to see if he had been brought in injured, but he hadn't... nor has he been turned into any of the shelters. If I only knew if he was dead or just missing... it would help because the way it stands now I just keep looking out for him... expecting him to come running up to me for attention. It's the not knowing that is really bothering me... I know it's just a cat but to me he was almost like one of my kids, a terribly spoiled one... LOL I'll keep you updated if I find him. Thanks so much for asking! :)

Bye...

They ARE just like children and it's just plain scary when something like this happens! I pray that he comes home soon, just comes waltzing in like he never left!!! {{{HUGS}}}

One of my neighbor's came over late this afternoon and asked me if Garfield was in the house... I told her no, he'd been missing for 1-/2 days and that we had been looking for him. I could tell by the look on her face that she knew something and I simply said... he's dead, isn't he... and she nodded her head yes. Her kids found him in their fensed in back yard
behind their shed. She said she couldn't see him well enough to tell what happened/why. Dh will be going to get him after he comes home from work. I'm not too sure if I want to see him or not but I know that if I don't it's something iI'll end up regretting for the rest of my life. Anyway, just thought I'd let everybody know. :(

bye.

Oh, Diane! I'm so sorry it didn't have a happy ending. {{{{HUGS}}}} Garfield will be waiting to hear your voice at the Rainbow Bridge.

Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone
here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and
hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play
together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our
friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been
ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt
or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left
behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are
intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away
from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him
faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and
your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous
reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon
your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you
look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone
from your life but never absent from your heart.

THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...

Don't give up hope just yet. MIL cat 'Mouse' went missing for almost a month. We were sure she would never be back. Then one day we walked out in the back yard and there she was, dozing in a lawn chair like nothing out of the ordinary was going on. When we went over to her she just opened one eye and gave us an 'Oh, it's just you look, and went back to sleep'
Don't know where she had been but she seemed healthy, but she has never left the yard since.

Thanks so much guy's... you're all so sweet! :) I already miss him SOOOO much. I thought that after he was found that I'd stop looking for him, but I find myself still looking for him every time I turn around... He was ALWAYS by my side, so I'm really missing his company. I had myself a good long cry though... and I'm sure their will be more to come but I am feeling a lot better. Thanks again for caring... :)

Bye...

Diane, a friend of mine just lost her 11 year old golden retreiver to bone cancer and she's an emotional wreck. (she has no children) I can sympathize with what you must be going through. Just this week, the pet of the week for adoption was a 3 year GR. I talked with my friend today and told her I thought it was a sign. She said she and her dh were going to see about him today. I didn't know how she would feel about my suggesting that she replace her dog so soon, but she was really more open to it than I thought she'd be.
