Probably a couple of them im progress...but I'll start just in case! Today my boys have doctor appointments...check ups! I haven't had them in "yearly" for physicals for a couple of years. They've been in for illness related stuff...but not for a full blown check up. Plus we have a new-ish doctor, and I just think I want her to really know dks. So I kind of warn the boys that the doctor (who is a lady!) might want to look at their private parts. OMG! The look ds1 gave me was hysterical! 8o I guess, at 9 years, that news was pretty disturbing to him! Oh My! Ds2 isn't as modest yet...the thought didn't seem to bother him much. I also warned them that they might need to give a "pee" sample...(much giggling between the boys on that one!)...and give a blood sample (yikes!!). Should be interesting!

Other than that, we're just continuing to enjoy our time off from school! Have a good day everyone!

Morning all!

Not much going on...plan is to hang out with a friend...maybe rent a movie and she want to pratice her sign language...that should be fun...haven't done it at all since the summer.

I'm in such a blah mood the last 2 days...I think I'm really ready to make my move to Oneonta. I'm thinking of just moving and finding any job when I get there. We'll see.

Well hope ya all have a great day!

Tired, didn't sleep well last night. Really worried about ds and the anesthesia tomorrow. Start the cleaning out process for him today..from 10 am till midnight only clear liquids, at 4 this afternoon start the meds. Getting ready to get him up to feed him some eggs.
DD is one of the leaders for Brownies today..she is doing their colors! LOL
Not much else, a really nasty rain storm is brewing.

I am helping out in ds's kindergarten class this afternoon and can't wait...even though they're doing paper mache. LOL!

Ann - Good luck tomorrow! Does he have an early app't? My mom has had colonoscopies and always says the cleaning out process is the worst - that the stuff they make you drink is icky. :\ Good luck to your ds - will be thinking about you guys! :tinysmile

Mary - LOL about your boys! Mine would be the same way! :)

Fortunately, they have changed it..he takes a series of pills rather than drinking the icky stuff. He will take 20 pills over an hour and half time frame.
We go in at 9, proceedure is at 10, lasts about 15 minutes. Depending on how he does with the anesthesia we should be out of there by 1.

Good gracious, where have I been?

Renee - your dh and a body scan?
Ann - your ds's colonoscopy..... where did I miss all of this.

You are all in my thoughts and I'll watch for updates - hope all goes well for everyone.

My day was very hum-drum; nothing compared to what is going on with some of you. I'll check back in after Brownies, and hope to read good news.

Hugs ---

Ann... Good luck with your ds.
Renee... Saying prayers and keeping my fingers crossed that everything comes out okay for your dh... Why do you think he'd want something to show up?

Were having another beautiful day here today. After all that darn rain we had last week the kids sure enjoy being outdoors again. I hope it continues to be like this at least through Saturday so the kids can have good weather for the prom.

I'm going over to visit the little baby that I've been doing day care for tonight... he had his heart surgery on the 10th of April and is now home and ready for visitors. I talked with the mom last night and he pulled through the surgery like a little trooper... and the best part is that he's already gained 2 pounds!! I can hardly wait to see him... I've REALLY missed him!

We had some excitement in our neighborhood last night... There has been a white car parked down the street for almost a week now and everyone was wondering who's it was. We thought it belonged to one of the neighbors that nobody hardly ever talks with, and he was out of town... so we thought that maybe it belonged to a friend of his who went with him. Well... he returned home from out of town alone and he didn't know who's it was either. Called the police and found out it was a stolen car... Here to find out another car a few blocks away from us was stolen at about the same time this one showed up... so evidently whoever left this one stole another one. Who knows where that one will show up. LOL

Anyway... I'd better get going and get something done. I promised the kids I'd read them a few stories before pick-up... so I'd better get going.

Diane...

Finally got our computer back at home. We ended up having to get a new hard drive. Dh got it all hooked up a few mintues ago, went to check on the garden, came back and I had snatched it.

I feel pretty out of the loop. Ann, I knew ds had been sick a while but I missed the colonoscopy in my minimal scanning the boards at school. Hope you guys get some answers soon and that he get's back to good health.

Renee, will keep your dh in prayers as well.

We are in a tornado watch for this evening and throughout the night. Hope things hold off till after survivor. It has been cloudy and cool till about 3:00 when the sun came out and the heat and humidity started rolling in.
