I ran 10 miles last night in preparation for the Mini, so I had better have lost some weight! lol
I had a pretty good week. I'm not where I want to be eating wise yet, but I am saying "No" to the kids' Easter candy alot more. I need to increase my water consumption. I do pretty well at night, but I'm too lazy to walk downstairs to the water cooler during the day at work for some odd reason.
My goal is to run the Mini in under 2 hours, and I have to tell you I like my chances. I have run 9.3 miles and 9.9 miles at a pace that will definitely put me in that category. I just pray for cool weather as that can be a big factor on race day. Anyway, I'll take it easy this week and load up on carbs the last couple of days before the race. Wish me luck!
keep up the great work Brichard......
I am doing 1.5 miles walk/jog a day....30 minutes.....feeling good...starting out slow and steady.....
mostly for stress relief....but if I can shed a few pounds too.....YIPPEE.....
Can I join in? Some serious motivation is needed. I gained 23 lbs during my pregnancy with ds2 and have now lost 43 lbs, so that's about 20 lbs of "me" that's gone, lol! Still lots and lots to go though. Trying to start a program (again) called Body Flex. Hopefully that will help get me off of this plateau.
Brichard, take a big water bottle to work! That's the "trick" I've used to get myself to drink more. I can't stand water so I need some gimmick. A fun water bottle has helped. Good luck on the run!
Renee, sounds like you're doing good. Do you take Max with you? Dh runs but doesn't want to get the neighborhood dogs in an uproar by taking Bella with him. Do you go during the day?

Oh I wish I could go outside and walk/jog....I agree with your dh...I would have every dog in the nieghborhood barking and jumping fences if I took Max with me.....I use the tredmill....the best gift we ever bought ourselves...when we use it...;)
I ususally hit the tredmill around 8:30 am....after ds gets on the bus...and before dd gets off to school.....
sounds like your on your way...never heard of Body Flex...enjoy yourself....I have learned that if you make it fun...its eaiser to do it everyday....

Iam with y'all on the water break thingie. I need to do it more. I haven't had a good week eating wise. And the work-outs are coming along slowly. So far, I have only done Curves 1 time. I will do tomorrow and Sat. though to get in my 3 days.
Next week should be better. Now to get the water thing going.
Keep it up everyone!!!

Ok I'm gonna work hard at this starting tomorrow...I have been so bad the last 2 week.
I need to go food shopping and get some heath foods.
Now I need to get into a work out routine, just got to start doing it....But I am determined cause my clothes are getting really tight. I'm almost having to go to next size...which means spending money I don't have...Is that good motication or what....LOL.
Any suggesions on health foods?
Fruits, veggies, meat, whole grains, nothing processed
