I would like to get some great ideas to work with the kids in the after school program we have. i need a good project for the word "Uniqueness". If you have any please let me know.

One thing I like to do with my preschoolers...

We talk about wildflowers-- bring some into class if you can. Look at them, talk about how they are alike, what makes them the same... then discuss how they are differant. We then talk about how WE are the same in many ways... 2 hands, 10 fingers, we all like to laugh, and sometimes we cry when we are sad... that sort of thing. Then we think about the things that make us special-- things we can do, talents we have, etc. Just like the differances in the flowers make the bouquet more intersting, our differances make the classroom a better place :)

As an extenion we make our own tissue paper flowers to take home and share.
