MM! Hola ya'll! Anyone have anything interested planned for this weekend ?
Saturday morning the boys have art class and then we're going into San Juan to meet up with the secretary from where I worked in NJ in the evening. I haven't been there since I got back to the island.

The workmen are still here :-( . I was thinking of taking off to the beach later in the morning if the weather permits. It's not looking too good, but if that's the case, the workers have to stop working.

I registered at the local university on Wednesday. I'm planning to get my certification to teach ESL here on the island. This should be interesting. The dean of Admis. informed me she can't guarantee me that the classes will be taught in English. I'm ok with have a Spanish speaking professor, but if the classes are for ESL don't you think the prof. should be speaking in English? lol Just a thought.

Anyone else continuing or beginning their post secondary education?

Have a great day ! Ciao ßß!

Morning! Hope the weather goes your way Arianna.

Still trying to figure out where we are staying on vacation....the Sheraton has just regular hotel rooms but a huge swimming area with a big slide, but found another place that is like a hotel room with a kitchen and sort of in more of a cabin like atmosphere! arrrggg LOL
DD has a soccer game tonite, and then her last one tomorrow am. DH and DS leave for a backpacking camp out with the boy scouts in the am, so dd and I will go out with some of the other "boy scout widows" tomorrow night. Sunday dd is going to a birthday party at Benihana's, and then her team party (of which I am in charge) is Sunday night at a local restarant.
Not much else on. LOL

Good Afternoon! Ari, it's nice to see you back...I hope all is going well with the puppy and her name :)

We have rain and no ambition. LOL The kids are on their last day of spring break...I think we'll head out shopping soon for some summer stuff. If not, I think we might seriously turn into slugs!! 8o

This weekend is my oldest dd's formal dance so we'll be busy tomorrow getting her "dolled up"! I know she'll look lovely - no biasis here! LOL It's just hard to imagine how grown up she is :bawling:

Ari, good luck with your schooling! I admire your ambition!

Ann, good luck with your vacation decisions!

Have a fun Friday! :)

Isn't it GREAT outside... it's absolutely beautiful! I too have my windows open.

Good luck with the house! I know what you mean about trying to keep it clean all the time... especially when you have kids! Ugh... I hope you sell it soon! :)

Arianna... what name did you decide on for your puppy?
Rae... does your dd have a date or is she going on her own? (I'm sorry I can't remember how old she is) My dd had her formal dance (The "Snowball") about a month ago... she was SO excited and they had a lot of fun! Hope it all goes well for her... :)

Yes, Dianne, she has a date...but she would have gone without one if need be! She's 15 already! We got her dress a couple months ago and it's soooo pretty. I don't know who is more excited! I have to go out yet tonight and get a disposable camera...forgot to pick one up! I want to see how all her friends look. Wish I was the one taking them instead of his parents! LOL

I'm glad your dd had a good time :) How's the cheerleading stuff going?

Rae - A dating daughter, yikes!! I hope she (& you) have a great night!

Today was busy and lazy at the same time. I went to playgroup at 9 this morning, then to Target and a toy store looking for birthday gifts. Got home at almost 2 and my neighbors came over and we spent the afternoon out on the deck with the kids. Dinner is about ready and dh just got home. I wish everyday was like this!!

Busy weekend ahead here too.
dd has gymnastics at 8:00.
ds begins his first gymnastics class 9:00 ~ he's very excited.
:bounce:
Just found out today that dh cousin, wife and family are coming in from San Diego on Sun. They will be floating between all the relatives houses and staying at my in-laws while they are here, but will likely be around a lot.
As nice as it is to see the cousin, his wife drives me up the wall. All she does as brag how everything she has or does is one better than everyone else. Big deal! I'm happy with what I have. It may not be top of the line but it meets my needs and I'm happy.
The kids 8, 5, and 2 were ok the last I saw them. Skylar and the 8 year old hit it off well. Only about half a year in age difference. Same for Spencer and the 5 year old, although she has a bit of her mother's attitude. I've never met the little one.
We are suppose to get everyone together next weekend but don't know where yet. None of us have a house big enough.

Ryleigh - Good luck with your "company". I know some people like your cousin's wife and I think they are actually more insecure than they want others to know. It gets old quick though, doesn't it? Ugh!

Rae - Hope your dd has fun at the dance! Tell us all about it so we can all stroll down memory lane! :)

Diane - I sure could get used to this weather!!! :) My mailman said it's supposed to rain tomorrow. :( Is your fil's house officially on the market yet? I bet it will go fast since it's on a lake!!! It is hard to keep the house clean with kids :tearhair: so I hope it goes fast.

My dd (l6) also would have gone on her own even if she hadn't been asked. As a matter of fact we had already gone dress shopping and purchased it before he even asked her to go with him so... the date was an added plus. LOL He came to OUR house though to pick her up so I was the one who got to take all the pictures... My dd had made me promise that I wouldn't take any pictures but then her dates mom asked her son to tell me to get doubles of everything... so dd had no choice. I LOVED it... so I know what you mean about who was more excited. She's my last "baby"... and I'm going to make the most of it. LOL I hope your dd has a great time... let us know how it went. :)

Wasn't it just perfect? It actually got HOT! I don't know what the official high was but if it could do the same thing tomorrow I'd sure appreciate it. LOL :) How did the house showing go? Hope something happens for you soon. No, our house no not officially on the market yet but if somebody is interested in looking at lake property they have our permission to show it. I don't think it will last long either... at least I hope not! :)

MM! We got to the beach yesterday around 12:30. No rain until la madrugada ( that's very early in the morning, before the sun rises ) We walked along the natural rock barrier and looked at all the sea life living in the tidal pools left by low tide. I found a tiny ( less than 1"). starfish skeleton.
Diane: The puppy hum.......... well the boys are calling her Trixie and I'm calling her Sofie but, to be honest neither name fits.

Karla : any luck with the house ?
Rae : dating.....don't even want to think about it. Tell DD to have a great time.
AngieR: Target, I'm jealous. I love that store, not one here either. Shop for me next tiem too!!!!
Ryleigh: House guests. Good luck and enjoy the time with family !!!!
AnnW : did you make a hotel decision yet?

Yes, we did. We wimped..the one cabin we found was booked and the others looked just a little too "rustic" for my dh's taste, so we are staying in a Radisson! LOL
But we did get a great deal including free breakfast everyday and there is an indoor heated pool for the kids.

I saw them advertising Super Target on TV but they said that we probably wouldn't be getting one in around my house for maybe another YEAR??? Ugh!!!! We have two Targets about the same distance apart from us but in opposite directions. LOL Too bad the couldn't modify one into a Super Target... then I'd be happy! LOL

It was beautiful weather. Hope it hits us again this week. We have showed our house 4 times. One guy is considering buying it if he can figure out a way to turn it into rental property. :( Then, last night a family came and I REALLY hope they want it. They are moving to MN from Iowa and she is having a hard time with the idea of even moving, so we'll see. Thanks for the well wishes. The stress is just about killing me and I am tired of trying to live in a museum like house in-btwn showings! LOL!

I'm hanging in there with the house. I think it will sell, but I am just anxious and "nervous: ! Thanks for asking! :) My grandparents used to have a dog named Trixie when I was younger and we thought she was the best!! :) Do you think you'll keep trying to find a new name or just stick with Trixie or Sofie?
