Hey,
In my pre k room, we drew pictures of our moms and I framed them with a construction paper frame and labeled it _________'s mom to decorate our rroom. They were really cute. Each child was given a cheap plastic flower pot and we worked individually with permanent paint pens to decorate each pot and then we planted a live plant in the pots. They loved getting dirty. This also decorated our table and served as a place card. As for a gift, each child was sent home with a special sheet for mom to write down the child's favorite recipe and then a sheet for mom to include her favorite recipe. We assembled them into a neat cookbook and each child decorated the front of their mom's cookbook. The moms loved it! Hope these ideas help.

This year in my class the children are going to put their handprints around a flower pot. Then they will plant flowers in it and give it to their mother. I hope this helps.
